I kinda hate it. I really hate the word "become" being on there. the mask looks stupid as fuck, the hair is WAY too long. i'm shocked they used the pig mask and not Billie The Puppet, considering most people think Billie IS Jigsaw. I should be bouncing off the walls in anticipation for this, but i'm not. SAW 3D is still in the back of my mind. I sure hope this is mostly a prequel, I want John, Jill, Amanda and Dr Gordon. I could give a fuck less about Hoffman or everyone else trying to "become Jigsaw". time will tell.

Not fan of the poster. The new title is well, ok for a reboot. "Saw Legacy" would have been seen as "a sequel, again ?".

Personaly, I would have prefered for them (for the whole saga) to stay with John, kill Amanda because she's a failed apprentice, then jump in time five years later after John's death with someone taking the mantle, inspired by John's "work". No Hoffman, no Dr Gordon going back.

I just hate how complicated the first movie become when you see how many people worked with John in reality. Part 1 and 2 work well. But then, they should have gone the F13 way, jumping into the future instead of going circles around the same original events. Using maybe tapes of Jigsaw to continue his plan.

I kinda hope this movie could work as a new Part 3 or 4 (I have to rewatch the series to see if I can stop it at 2 or 3 without a feeling of losing something)

Really a series that disappointed me because the main character and his plan was so cool, a kind of justice, there was some good in him. But the sequels were just milking the idea. (Without counting how the gore went really extreme in the later sequels, while the traps made more sense in the early movies, not as goreporn as the last sequels...).

I'll see that Jigsaw for sure. Just to know what happens, at least. And maybe I'll have a good surprise.

I like the mask in that the people wore the pig mask and the puppet was more an "avatar" for when taunting the test subjects. I enjoyed 3-D alright enough so I'm not TOO sour on this.

It's possible they shot themselves, creatively, in the foot by killing off John and Amanda too soon. The 4-3d movies, I enjoyed, but maybe they could have been better had they not blown their wad so soon in 3.

I think it's pretty awesome for a teaser poster. I enjoy even the worst of the films quite a bit. I don't think any other horror franchise managed to be as consistently good as this one even at its lowest point, and I like that Daybreakers vampire movie that these guys directed quite a bit, so I have faith in this one.

check out this poster of Jigsaw himself wearing Billie The Puppet's face paint,

    OMG he looks awesome.

scroll down though and look at the rest, a TON of people "dressed as Jigsaw". dear god please don't let this be a whole movie of random dolts "becoming Jigsaw". Tobin Bell is in it, that's a sign of flashbacks. if Hoffman, Jill and Amanda aren't in it, FUCK OFF!

this trailer scares me. the "look" of the film is way too polished, doesn't look like a real SAW movie.
all I see is new characters who look like they're gonna suck, uuhh.

wow, what a movie. um, its way better than SAW 3D. it answers no questions. wanna know what happened to Hoffman and Dr Gordon? fuck off cause there is NO returning characters except Jigsaw. he has lots of screentime. there was a scene that almost made me shit my pants,

when Jigsaw showed up, i really thought he was fucking alive! omg. that was a great twist. the new apprentice guy was cool, but they tried to say he was with Jigsaw before Amanda and Hoffman, which means he had 5 helpers including Jill.

its not what i wanted but i cant lie, it was a great movie. shit, it might be better than part IV. i hope to catch it again next week. long live Jigsaw!

    The big reveal

involving John really tipped the movie's hand. Knew there was no way he was still alive, so it was obvious they were going with the time twist (again). Still had some intrigue involving the new apprentice

, but mostly there's kind of an air of "this is pretty good, but shouldn't there be more?" It's a good return but I'm not sure it really gets me very excited about the future.
