Thread: F13 Horror Movie Challenge Discussion Thread - Part III

So I've never been a huge fan of anthology movies but I figured I would give one of the V/H/S movies a shot. It was pretty hit and miss which I guess is what you would expect from these movies. Parallel Monsters and Bonestorm were the only two good bits. Parallel Monsters was nice and creepy, and Bonestorm wasn't too creepy but was well done and fun to watch.

If an episode of a TV show could count, I would make it because these days I spend most of my free time watching American Horror Story on Netflix. Currently watching season 3.

Sanic, V/H/S Viral is the entry you watched. It is regarded as the worst in the series.
I'd recommend V/H/S 2. All of the entries are hit-and-miss, but I felt this one had the better stories. The zombie POV story is fun, while I prefer the Asian cult segment as the best in the entire V/H/S series. I'd take Creepshow or Trick R Treat any day of the week over any of the V/H/S movies, but overall I find them entertaining. I'm biased because I love anthology horror.

I wish DM and Natman were participating as well.

There is a bunch of movies on Netflix that I plan on watching... if only I could stop watching American Horror Story... but I am addicted to that show!

I plan on being in chat tomorrow to watch Cult of Chucky for a second time. As for Cult, well, I love it, the critics love it, but most horror fans seem to hate it. Oh well.

Monkey, Natman said he cannot access the forum. I have been accessing it from my phone-tablet.

I relayed it up the chain. I find it odd, since I can get on using two different laptops, a desktop, and my Iphone. He must be using a specific device and a specific web browser?

Sorry I haven't been able to participate much this year guys, I was swamped with a project in Operating Systems, a homework assignment in Data Algorithms, and two tests all in a two week span, so I was understandably pretty damn busy. Spent a lot of nights working on stuff until midnight.

Anyways, I was able to pop in Return of the Living Dead, I was finally able to get a copy of it with the soundtrack in tact. Damn, I'm ticked that it had been so many years since I last saw it, like 5 or 6, cause its fucking awesome.

It's all good. Getting older, so many members have wives/husbands, kids, school, work, and/or addicted to gay midget porn.

I just completed two research papers over the last two days. It was exhausting, but now I'm free.

I'll probably pick up ROTLD for the third time; the stepson loves the zombie movies and ROTLD is one of the best.
    ...send more paramedics.

Also, I just watched "Jurassic Shark" just to complete "Old Boo Radley's" Alphabet challenge. It may be the worst movie I've ever seen.

My only goal this year is to watch a horror movie every day. I also want to see Towelman take the crown with the most movies.

I am not partipating because I can only access the forum from my phone or tablet.

That, and I have fallen completely in love with the TV show "American Horror Story." Currently finishing "Hotel" and about to start "Roanoke."

Yeah I've sucked at the challenge this year. My usual goal is 31, but I'll be lucky to make it to 13 by Tuesday. :/
