At first, to me it was kind of weird for that scene to be thrown in there due to the ending (I figured the incubator scene would have worked better) but I guess it was Joe Chappelle's way of getting us to think they were a cult and soon surprise us and say that they weren't and that it was all a joke. Of course Michael was around so they had to make him think they were that of Thorn so why not throw in a bunch of candles, robes, symbols and what not? You know what I mean?

It's kind of weird because no one would expect a then 15 year old now 16 year old to come up with this kind of information that Halloween fans who are adults couldn't piece together. I've gotten that a lot from OHMB, but I didn't explain it as great as this though. If only they had seen this they would be utterly surprised at how much sense this makes. Unfortunately I've been banned so that's never going to happen.

As for the fan-fic idea about the whole cult of Thorn and Mrs. Blankenship, that will be rather a great idea, but I'm not sure I can make a whole story from that. Normal people would probably at least have trouble functioning due to the pain they'd suffer from some of the injuries that Michael has sustained over the years (like taking a chainsaw to the chest for one). Michael sometimes recoils in pain from these things when they first happen, but soon after he keeps going as if nothing had happened. There are no signs of lingering discomfort or anything.
