This has always bothered me, but I think a reasonable explanation is that when Freddy completely took over Jesse (there is no Jesse, I'm Jesse now!), he was brought into real life.

I don't know though, it's kind of confusing. The line between dream and reality is so blurred in Freddy's Revenge. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, though, lol.

I was watching WCNN again last night after many years of having not seen it. It still holds up, and just keeps getting better with every viewing. I haven't read all 17 pages worth of this thread, so I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I really love REX. Rex is a straight up badass. When I was a kid, I loved dinosaurs too, and I would bring dinosaurs into my dreams to protect me from scary things too. Having Dillon/ Dylan (sp?) use Rex as his personal guardian is so genuinely childlike and resonates with me personally, that I can't help but love the plush dino. And when Heather finds Rex shredded to pieces near the end, somehow seeing this ripped up little stuffed dinosaur came across as a powerful image. People like to go on about Wilson in Castaway, but for me it's Rex in WCNN.

I love the shot of Rex under Dylan's blanket, with a single light illuminating his rows of sharp, dangerous teeth. The kid picked a good guard to keep Freddy away. :shy: And as much as I would've loved to have seen Freddy do battle with a T-rex, I'm glad they didn't show that. That's something that probably works best in our imaginations than on-screen. Also, when Dylan and Heather are poking their heads out of the other end of the blanket, am I mistaken, or is that the single cutest shot of Heather ever with that one long lock of hair hanging down in front of her face . :p
