Friday The 13th: The Woods revised script.

A small portion has already been shot, and that scene has been removed from the script.

It's nothing great, but it will be fun. Hoping to shoot a good part of it in a few weeks. Hopefully it will be done by next summer. We have a Winter scene, so it can't be any earlier than Winter.

The shoot this evening was cut short due to rain.
Hopefully Thursday will be better. It always rains on us. I swear, this is the third time rain either stopped us completely or shortened our shooting day.

Yep I had exactly the same weather problems when I was making my Jason fan film, anyways good luck with both movies -The Woods and The Claw hammer Massacre. Can't wait to see them both!

At worst the movie will be a piece of dung and we will just release it as short scenes haha. It's fun regardless... thats why we're doing it.

Wish I had your resources, scab. I'd consider shooting this Halloween series I'm working on.

I really have minimal resources. Everyone's just pitching in, but THAT is a valuable resource.

We shot some shit yesterday, very frustrating day. We shot from 1pm - 645pm and got like 4 minutes of footage. Setting up, making sure people have their lines, movie stuff, watching each take to make sure it's good takes time and hopefully things will go smoother next time.

After a rough edit, the movie is now 10-12 minutes long haha.

We are happy with what we got, but we spent 2 hours shooting a dialog sequence where we only got 25 seconds of footage because of one sequence that was wrecked with an airplane flying over. GRR

right now we are going to do some pick ups, finish the scenes we got (will be fast) and then put this back on hold to whenever we can work on it.

Another update.

More shooting, and we recasted two people due to their inability to remember their lines which means more reshoots. Anyways, here are excerpts from two scenes... they are still very roughly edited- i just threw them together really quick- and of course will be scored int he final product. The second clip we may reshoot the end since it started to get really dark and we didn't have the lighting handy. We didn;t know we were going to take so long.

(we will have to reshoot Jason pulling victim since "stunt Jason" forgot his pants and was wearing Jeans. I didn;t think it would be as noticable. The cinematographer shot too much of Jason. I wanted only his hands and the guy being dragged. :(

I agree. I think the Jason looks good.

scab - You said the cinematographer shot too much of Jason. I'd agree with that. If it showed him less, it'd be more effective I think. Overall, even though it's just a rough cut, I think it looks pretty good. :)

Then we decided to reshoot those scenes where it showed MORE of Jason

Only because it IS a fan film, and a short film (we expect 30-45 minutes at the most including opening and end credits) and people will watch to see Jason more than they will to see our film haha. We will probably have 3 cuts of the film anyways. We are gonna shoot a racy scene for an NC-17 film...

Since the weather hasn't permitted up to shoot, we got bored a few days back and did this. We jsut went into an old house and the 3 people improved for me. It's not great, but it was all coming out on the spot for them.
