The One and Only

Back in 1991, the TRANSFORMERS comic series published by Marvel, which at the time I thought at the time was firing on all cylinders thanks to UK TF writer, Simon Furman, and the art team of penciller of Andrew Wildman, and inker Stephen Baskerville, ended up getting the axe. And a bit of my childhood died that day. :(

Anywho, there was a brief follow up or two. One was the short-lived TRANSFORMERS:GENERATION 2 comic series, which came out with the equally short-lived toyline of the same name. And the story "Another Time, Another Place." (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Another_Time_%26_Place)
But last year, in the wake of the Larry Hama scribed G.I. JOE:A REAL AMERICAN HERO !, which picked up after the end of the original run of Task Force Delta's Marvel run a big hit at IDW. Simon Furman put out some feelers to the fans out there in the form of a petition asking the fans if they'd like to see a continuation of the run of Misters Furman/Wildman/Baskerville. The fans, including myself, signed the petition, and IDW answered. So starting this May, with Free Comic Book Day on May 5, TRANSFORMERS REGENERATION ONE#80.5 hits the comic book shelves.
