Hello all.

Decided I'd make a new thread to announce my upcoming short film, The Hellraiser Chronicles: Black Invitations, for those that are interested if any of you exist. I am excited about the project, I have loved each "Chronicle" so far, and hope that my little piece will live up to the title, especially given that mine will be one of the few American shorts under the Chronicles title, if not the first.

Synopsis: In a rotted-out, miserable alley, Chuck Seeley waits to meet the love of his life. Not the bubbly, pretty young woman walking in off the street, but the box she has come to sell him, for a price she insists he has "already paid." Seeley has read about the box, fantasized about it, about the people he would kill and other things he would do to have it. About how it would rescue him from a life of indifference and make him better than he is. Now, with the box in his possession, Seeley sits down to open the box... and finds it more difficult than he ever imagined. No matter what he does, the box will not open for him. Desperate, he attempts to find the Salesman, only to overhear her heroin deal with college student Alan Greene, who is locally renowned for being a skilled problem solver. And while this is one of his many gifts, Alan has been battling his own demons, and as he declines further into addiction, he knows that they're winning. With nowhere left to turn, Seeley abducts Alan and his best friend and forces him to solve the box, believing that one way or another, he is going to Hell.

Here's a teaser image (a much better poster will follow)

I was never the biggest fan of Hellraiser, but this sounds interesting to me. Best of luck! Keep us posted!

Fantastic news!

Always brilliant to see another Hellraiser fan film go into production, hope you'll come share with us at the cenobite.com forum as well!

You might wish to try talking to jonnyq at www.hellraiserfanfilms.com as well, I know he's busy but he has plans to eventually split the web address off to a dedicated site for the fanfilms.

What will you be shooting in, SD or HD? Also, if you're interested in using the existing "Chronicles" opening, let me know. I'm currently planning a shoot for a HD version, so there will be an option for future HR fanfilm makers of SD and HD, should they wish to use the opening sequences.

Anyway, sorry for the waffle, just always exciting to hear about a new HR fanfilm project! Not nearly enough for such a wide ranging and potential-filled series!

Scarecrow, I was actually planning to contact you about that, because I am very interested in using the existing opening. I currently plan to shoot in HD. That could change, but I doubt it.

And thanks. It's great to finally get moving on something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Awesome. Since the original opening was SD, for The Lemarchand Project we wanna do a HD version, based on the original, with permission already obtained, and possibly a remix of the same music.

I couldn't really see your teaser image though, anywhere else it can be seen? is it all scripted? Sorry for the questions, just always interested!

When you're less busy we need another comic script some day too! ;)

Yeah, I'll need to get a better link to the image or put it up somewhere else. I've just completed the script and gotten all of the actors lined up. I'll provide a little tidbit and say that this is one of the few fan films out there (and the only one under the "Chronicles" moniker?) to use the character of Pinhead. I've nabbed a make-up artist from Tom Savini's school, so that should be great. Filming should commence in a few weeks with the majority being shot in October, depending on everyone's schedule.

Also, I am ready, willing and able to write another script for the comics. I've had a few ideas and will get to work on that when I can.

Excellent! Cast already is always a good sign! We spent a while doing auditions on the last project.

I'll be interested to see how much Pinhead features and how he's played - the new sequel has gone a long way to showing just how difficult it is to re-do him. I wish you the best of luck! It'd be cheaky to ask if he's solo or not, but hey. ;)

Think you'll put all thsi info over at cenobite.com or do you want me to give it a post? Also, will there be a website for the film?

Put up a thread on the Hellraiser board with a new piece of info.

Just noted this and wondered if you'd arranged set dates to get your cast to work too, or if it's veyr much a case of whose free and when?

Will there be any pre-production stuff to share at all? ;) :D

There are some dates where I've told people they should really try to be free, because I plan to shoot. And other times where we may be able to get in a shot, when it's more open to what certain people's schedule are.

As of right now, I can say the plan is pretty much to shoot the Cenobite stuff last, so anything in preproduction right now would probably not be all that exciting to most people.

We've shot a little bit of footage and the script is complete. There's going to be a bit of recasting that's holding it off a little right now.

Ah, good luck with that. using casting websites? They've been amazing for us since we started using them.

Can I ask what sorts of footage was done? :)

Did you have any luck with the re-casting? Hope this is going well, and if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know! :)
