I thought this might make a good topic for discussion.
We all know that Freddy's good at getting inside people's heads, finding what scares them, and turning it against them. So, what do you suppose frightens Mr. Krispy? What inner demons might he have that could be used against him?

He surely "whines" a lot about people not fearing him and being forgotten.
I think the line "there is nothing to fear except fear itself" applies to him. If nobody fears him, then he has no powers.
As far as I know, not fearing him is the only way to defeat him.
Michael Bay?
And that.

Can't compete with the Michael Bay answer... but according to what I've seen he's afraid of fire and Dokken.

Freddy is pretty scared of his own reflection. Nightmare 4 established both that and the reason for it. He also looked pretty scared in Part 5 when Amanda told Jabon to unleash the power he gave him. He also looked pretty scared in Freddy's Dead when his daughter came at him with his own glove. In Freddy vs. Jason he was hanging upside down and coming toward Jason while screaming, "oh no!".

Freddy wasn't scared of his own reflection in 4, his reflection wasn't what did him in, it was the power of the Dream Master using his reflection in the dream against him. IMO of course. I just use the logic of the previous movies never using the reflection aspect.
I'd say Freddy's biggest fear would have to be being forgotten.

if Jason X is continued after Freddy VS Jason, then it looks like Freddy's rotting in Hell, his memory was left and forgotton on Earth#1. uh.. unless, Jason continues to exist within films, and Freddy's spirit haunted the real world.
As long as the legend of Freddy lived on it's completely concievable that someone on Earth 2 knows of him and he's still haunting dreams.
The guy that Lowe contacts knows about Jason, someone probably knows of Freddy as well.

what qualifies this statement?

Load Rock music. Just look at when Dokken defend Freddy in Dream Warriors music video

I think Freddy's greatest fear could be the inability to pursue his twisted obsessions. That's why he only really exhibits serious emotion when the stakes against his survival are high. Like many serial killers, he cannot experience true fulfillment. He can only thrill himself time and again by exploiting the fears of unfortunate kids and then taking their lives. It's not like anything really satisfies him for more than a few minutes. He barely even pauses to savor the achievement of killing the last of the Elm Street kids before moving on to Sheila. He gets bored with an empty Springwood and sends John to fetch Maggie. He's like a temperamental child with a short attention span who whines for new toys but rapidly becomes bored and discards them. In many ways, Freddy is far more immature than his young victims.

3. Religion.
4. Seeing himself as he is.
5. His mother.
6. Running out of victims.
7. Running out of film.
8. Jason Voorhees.
9. Someone replacing him.

It's clever and true! Although it's debatable as to whether the power of love really has any effect whatsoever, or if Freddy was just messing with Jesse and Lisa.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's the power of love that defeated Freddy, but the power of love that reminded Jesse that he had the ability to regain control and force Freddy out of his body. My opinon, but whatever.

I don't think he's fond of vegetables either. Seems like he was always eating meat or feeding people meat.

No, no, no.
You all have it wrong. What Freddy is really afraid of is actually a child.

Losing his hat.
Old school members might remember the amazing thread that proved Freddy's true power must lie in his hat.
