The Second Coming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Second_Coming_%28TV_serial%29)

Has anyone else watched this? It's a drama written by Russell T Davies, and starrs Christopher Eccleston as Steven Baxter, a video store clerk who vanishes for 40 days and 40 nights. When he comes back he claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.

I’ve just ordered it on Amazon.com (got it brand new for less than $11.00) and I can’t wait to see it. It’s Christopher Eccleston. It’s Russell T Davies. So it stands to reason it must be made of win.

I've avoided reading the plot outline on Wikipedia, because I don't want to spoil it, but I was curious if anyone else has seen it, and what you thought of it.

Will do. It should be showing up near the end of the week, hopefully.

I seen back when it was on ITV here in Britain.

I really enjoyed it. It was one of those programmes that I found by chance, watched it for a few minutes then never changed the channel.

Without giving anything away my favourite bit involved everyone having a drink in a pub. You'll know the bit Im talking about Jeans when you see it.

Also watch out for Clive from "Rose". Can't remember the name of the actor but I know he was in the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who.

Again I can't say anything without spoiling things but he plays a good part.

They've actually got Mark (Clive) Benton's picture up on Wikipedia in the entry for The Second Coming, and the flippin' caption under the picture gives away who he plays. :meh: Still, I'm glad to see him around. I like Mark Benton, he doesn't do enough mainstream dramatic telly.
