I've never even heard of it. What is it about?
Doing a search, I see the original is on DVD here (http://www.amazon.com/Wizard-Gore-Special-Ray-Sager/dp/B00004S89C), but there's no news anywhere about a forthcoming DVD of the remake.
The original was a pretty good Herschell Gordon Lewis 'gore flick' about a TV talk-show hostess and her boyfriend who investigate a shady magician whom has the ability to hypnotize and control the thoughts of people in order to stage gory on-stage illusions using his powers of mind bending. It's definitley worth checking out. Crispin Glover plays the magician in the remake and I'm really anxious to see it seeing as how I absolutley loved the original.

There's a Myspace for the remake. The remake looks like it will be good. Crispin Glover as Montog, Jeffrey Combs, and Bijou (msp) Phillips I think.
The original is actually pretty good for it's time period. Can't wait for the remake. Can't wait for Crispin's other slasher movie Simon Says where his father (Bruce) stars as well.
I'm glad to see that Crispin's still getting work..I've always liked him in pretty much everything.

Crispin has always had jobs... jsut more obscure (but good) movies.
Anyone see Fast Sofa with Crispin, Jake Busey, The Hebrew Hammer (forgot his real name), Natasha Lyonne, Eric Roberts, Jennifer Tilly, Bijou Phillips & Lee Ving ?
I love that movie. Crispin's character is this bird lover with a weird eye- so creepy.
Drop Dead Sexy with Jason Lee, well that movie was a dark comedy but it was horrible.
He has another horror in the works- "I Scream Man:.
I'm happy to share that Dimension Extreme has picked this up and it is slated for a 2008 release.

I'm sure it's full of gore regardless... and I don't think it's making a theatrical run, so the DVD will probably R and UR released.

The gore is cheesy since it was a 1960's film, but it's still plentiful and unrated/uncut on the "Something Wierd" DVD version. It's a pretty good story too, and I hope the remake captures the same sort of story and atmosphere.
Crispin Glover = no worries

I dunno, I love Crispin and he fucking SUCKED in Drop Dead Sexy. I also love Jason Lee and that movie was so damn awful.
A lot who have seen this movie have said that it's good. I think I'll like it.

Wait, Al Gore's a wizard? So, what was Bill Clinton, the King?

"Featuring The Suicide Girls!"
Yeah, because Goth pinup models are totally going to boost the sales of the DVD. :p
The special features for this seem to be pretty solid.
I watched this last night (I love Newbury Comics!) and I have to say that it was just 'ok'. The gore in this film was minimal keeping in mind the title and all. The Black Christmas remake's gore was very well done compared to this one's. There was nothing extremely gory or over the top like I was hoping for. I wanted to be repulsed by the gore. Instead, I was subjected to awful CG effects. One of the worst has to be when Montag (Crispin Glover) gets his head crushed at the end.Crispin turned in an ok performance, but I think that Brad Douriff stole the show. The script was a complete mess that is all over the place and a bit incoherent at times. By the way, if this film was set in the present day, then why was Kip Pardue's character dressed as a 1930's gangster? Maybe my hopes were too high....:side:

This remake starring Crispin Glover came out this week. I picked it up but won't get to watch it till the weekend. Anyone else get this?
Al Gore's a fucking wizard!? O.o.
In all seriousness, I might pick this up. It sounds interesting enough.

Of course he's a wizard. How else would he have been able to both invent the Internet and battle ManBearPig?
