- Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com is reporting that as of this week that a Fatal 4 Way is planned for the WWE Title match at Royal Rumble with The Miz defending his title vs Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton and John Morrison. Morrison vs Miz in a singles match was originally scheduled for Rumble but those plans were changed and that match will now take place on this Monday’s Raw. There has also been talk of possibly giving Jerry Lawler a short run with the WWE Title but nothing is set in stone at this point.

The King as WWE Champion don't know what to think about that with is long history in pro wrestling he does deserve to of held that title on the other hand have they left it to late

Either way if he takes the title at the Rumble he will lose it at Elimination Chamber though he will also have 1 defence on raw where he will probably win via DQ

It's just been announced on the WWE Facebook page that this years Royal Rumble is going to be a 40 man Royal Rumble.

I'll be honest I thought they were going to have a bit of trouble putting 30 guys in there wonder who the other 10 are going to be.

On a side note 17 men from last years Royal Rumble are ether released-injured or in a Championship Match

Instead of putting 40 men in there, I wish they'd let it get down to 2 men and then from there it turned into a real match instead of just trying to throw the other guy over the top rope.

You gotta remember though the whole 30-40 rumble roster is never in the ring at the same time anyway.

In either case, check dailymotion/youtube for some early-mid 90s WWF 40 man battle royal action. Tatanka won one once and The Bezerker (John Nord) won another. Fun stuff.

I meant more having enough guys on the roster even with a surprises-one off appearances and returns I think they would have trouble finding 30 let alone 40 guys.

I got a tape where the Bulldog wins after eliminating both Beau and Blake Beverly at the end. Kinda crazy those two would end up in the last three since they couldn't even beat The Bushwackers nine times out of ten. But, that's why they say anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation.

I used to love the Rumble (or Survivor Series) when you got 2 lower card guys like Bushwhacker Luke vs One Of The Killer Bees and Monsoon would say something like "This right here could main event anywhere in the world and your getting it right here in The World Wrestling Federation"

Or, how every few weeks on Superstars, the main event of the show is Virgil Vs. Tito Santana and you're so fucking pumped you're gonna get to see a real wrestling match. I still love the "main event anywhere in the world" line. I use it always.

I got so sick of Tito Santana or Virgil vs Repo man or the tag team of Tito and Virgil vs. Ted Dibiase and Repo Man.

The crazy thing is just how over the lower card was. People went nuts for Virgil, Bossman, Duggan and oftentimes Tito. I've been watching a shitload of old wrestling lately and I can vouch for that shit. It was crazy.

Brett did you subscribe to WWF magazine at the time? They had an angle in the mag that Virgil was unhappy with his lack of coverage, so they ran a parody magazine cover towards the back with Virgil as the cover model with a headline "Virgilmania, running wild."

Haha, that's awesome. I think Virgil was over because Dibiase was so good, but the others were just over, period. DM and I were watching an old show one night and we just about died when we saw someone in a Virgil T-shirt.

I never got many magazines except PWI in the later years. When I was young, the magazines were too rich for my blood since other shit was so much cooler.

I used to get WWE Magazine up until only about a year a half ago I think in the end I just got it out force of habit.

Problem is with wrestling magazines now is even the insider ones with the internet by the time they come out all the news is already at least 2 months out of date

Man I had a subscription from the time I was 12 until I was around 22 or 23. Midpoint in there I also subscribed to RAW magazine, the more risque version (but never touching Playboy type photos). Then the brand split brought Raw or Smackdown issues and I just said the heck with it all and stopped subscribing.

Besides by and large all of them are written in Kayfabe and I just got tired of it all.

Tito Santana was a great worker and former IC champ.

Bossman was cool. He could work for a bigger guy. Shame that most (younger) people only remember him as a member of the Corporation (when he had the SWAT team outfit) if they remember him at all. By that time, he was definitely past his prime.

Tito "Taco Bell" (RIP, Sherri) Santana definitely was a great worker; they didn't put him in the main event of Survivor Series '90 for nothing.

FHJKDSAJHFSJAS I forgot all about that. Survivor Series '90 is WWF's Capital Combat. The one where the ring post is used twice in every match and submission from a hammer lock was very, very likely.

I was very disappointed in last night's Royal Rumble. It started out good with Edge retaining the title but then I think it went down hill after that.

My dislikes of the night:
- Why would the Nexus help Miz beat Randy Orton? Nexus weren't feuding with Orton, they are feuding with Cena.
- The Nexus running the gauntlet in the rumble and eliminating people one by one. But then Super Cena's time comes to come out and he eliminates all of them. Sick of seeing this.
- Hornswoggle and Cena running the gauntlet and eliminating people one by one. Really?!
- Miz eliminating John Cena when Miz wasn't even in the rumble. Yeah I know there is no rule that says a wrestler not in the rumble can't eliminate one in it but I've never been a fan of that rule.
- Alberto Del Rio winning the Rumble. I think it's too soon for ADR to be main eventing Wrestlemania when you got some one like CM Punk who has the most heat at the moment as heel and John Morrison who for some reason continues to get passed over as higher profile guys that should've won.
- No Triple H! I can't tell you how much I couldn't wait to hear "Time to play the GAAAAAMMMMMEEEEE!!!!" and see the fear in Sheamus' eyes. But once Sheamus was eliminated I knew WWE dropped the ball on that one happening.

I'm thinking at the time Punk thought he was going to win the Rumble and perhaps was thinking that The Miz would be an easier opponent at Wrestlemania than Orton. That's what ran through my mind.

Depending on the year and mood of the bookers, some years non entrants can eliminate entrants and other years they cannot.

Alex Riley got eliminated by accident he was supposed to hang on to the ropes but slipped that's why his elimination was missed and Miz said "look at Alex Riley doing the smart thing" (even though by then he'd been gone 3-4 mins) to what Cole-King and Striker had to say "Where is he"

Kong was backstage last night that's why during the Diva's match there was a chant for her as fans really expected to see her

Some years if you put yourself out it counts and if it's 93 and your Macho Man it doesn't count .

I think both Miz and Alex Riley were supposed to put Cena out so it would count as Alex doing it but he messed that one up
