:funky:

That's right, folks. One month ago today, on Friday the 13th of July, this board opened to great fanfare and rejoicing. As I type this, I see that we have 188 members, 640 threads, and a whopping 19,228 posts.

We couldn't have done it without y'all. I am humbled by the overwhelming mass of goodwill and camaraderie, and grateful for the wealth of knowledge that y'all have brought here to our little outpost in the woods around Crystal Lake.

We plan to keep growing, and with your help we intend to be the best community on the interwebs. So, sit back, relax, have a cold one, and keep on posting.

:bang:

And we've seriously have had NO problems from what I can tell (people wise). There has been one or two things but nothing major. I think there was some hesitation when a few older, more notorious, members showed up, but they by and large proved to us that they have matured.

This is a very..good...special.... uh... thing.

It is great that since the old forum went down, this new forum has risen like a phoenix from the ashes.

Now cliché's aside, i'm happy that a month has flown by already. May this forum go from strength to strength!

I'm here now, so lets see the place rise to even greater heights! Haha or not.

When I heard the first place collapsed I was quite sad about it, so when word got to me of the new place I was more than happy to register, thanks Blake for re-starting this shit!

Happy One Month, and may we all experience many more peaceful months and gain a wealth of knowledge. Thank you Blake.

It's been a great one month and here's to a lifetime more! Special thanks to Jeans, Sickboy, Tyner and all the Mods for carrying on in the finest tradition.

Wow, hard to believe it's already been a month. It's been a good one. I just hope we can get a few more regulars from the old board to register. I know some have said they won't, but anything can happen.

Wow, I didn't realize today's date. Yes, the rigid metal endoskeleton of the forum has risen from the ashes to destroy all humans... Wait, that's The Terminator. Aw, screw it. Happy one month!

Happy one month anniversary!!!

Cheers and a few pinches on the buttocks to those who've created this happy home for all of us to enjoy and carry on friendships.

It's hard to believe it's only been a month.

Seriosuly guys, we couldn't have done it without you. I also hadn't noticed that a whole month had passed (though the diary I use to keep track of bugs and installations should have gven me a clue :D).

Looks like we're here to stay!

Now lets just not turn into a teenage couple and be like "Baby its our 2 month and 3 day anniversary at 1:13 pm!!!"

I'll resort to random skull via eye socket violations.

Who isn't coming back?

That's a real shame, man. Thought everyone would jump at the chance of another forum.

Still, it's a shame some of the old timmers don't want to come back.

I actually prefer the look and feel of this place, even if it is hard bloody work sometimes :)

It's like when your first love dumps you. You love the next girl, but you never forget the first one. That's this place -- my second love. Dear to my heart, but she'll never be that first girl.

Anyhoo, happy one month, folks. :D I hadn't realized today was the 13th myself, but Blake is always on the ball like that.

Hey, didn't the first forum have...30 times as many members?

Just Jeans
08-14-2007, 12:02 AM
It had nearly 7,000 members I think. At least 85% of those members were inactive.

Maybe, but we've only been here a month.

*raises glass* Here's to many, many more months together. 'Cheers, guys. :)

It was not the "space" that defined F13 Forum but the community of people that it brought together, and as far as I'm concerned this is still that very same community (Minus a few noticeable regs.)

It doesn't matter who runs the spot, as long as I can log on and see Jeans and French argue "Resident Evil" or see Hood's "Bouncy Avatar" or see any of the numerous names I've seen over the past decade discussing everything there is to talk about, it will always be home for me.

Wow. It's hard to believe it's been a month. At first, I was skeptical if this place would live up to what we used to have and well...

It feels so much like the old board, sometimes I have to remind myself it's an entirely new forum and that Blake and Brenna are no longer running things.

It'd be nice if they stoped by sometime and posted.

It good to see that we've made this far and I feel we should be going strong in the years to come. I can't wait to see how this place will develop when it goes public.

It seems like most of the active members of the old forum joined this one. How's the PR thing working out on getting the word out we're up and running?

The PR I'm thinking, you are talking about, is like Google. Waiting on Sicko, to hook us up on that.

Hey guys, happy belated birthday. I was looking for a cheers smilie but it appears we don't have one. I guess we'll have to settle for this. :ballshot: Nah, j/k but happy birthday. I can't wait for this site to go mainstream so we get more people to talk about the things we cherish the most, but I'm sure that is on the way.

My thanks go out to Jeans, Blake, Sickboy, and anyone else I left out for ressurecting the community we hold dear to us. Cheers, guys! :ballshot:
