Great write-up Brett! I still cringe at a lot of those kills.

Awesome write up, Brett! I pretty much agree with all of those kills on the list & would probably list the same ones if I came up with my own list!

Hah! I figured I'd be taken to task by now for leaving certain ones off and including one for the remake/reboot/whatever. One thing I never really noticed before was how none of Part 3's kills really stick out for some reason. They're all solid, but I found it hard to include any from that one. The handstand walking one came close, but it's chopped up a bit and is hard to see.

Others just missing the cut: the double impale from 2, the arrow through Bacon's neck, the triple decapitation from Jason Lives, and the part where Jason cuffs that loud-mouthed bitch in the diner from JGTH.

I thought the spear to Paul's dick in The Final Chapter was pretty brutal. I have to turn away every time. And it sounds like Jason actually shoots the spear up into him.

Yeah man, I gave Final Chapter so much love, and I could have done even more. Doing this list really has me reconsidering where I place that one. 3 always stood out in my mind as the definitive one, but with all the awesome gore and characters in 4, that might be the one now.

Yeah...nice write up. Mine would have been only slightly different!

You did a wonderful job writing it up.

Great list!

Personally I would have substituted Garris, Ralph and Nolan's deaths for Andy, Jack and perhaps Marcie, but all good!

Very awesome list DM. Good jorb. Debbie was definitely number 1.

Not too bad, although I feel the unborn baby in 3 should have made the list.

I like the Friday the 13th part 7 death scenes... you really see Jason use his newfound strength!!!

Job Bob Briggs? That Joe Bob's wrestler cousin or some shit? ;)
ADDED:
Incidentally, as impressive as the face-smash from Jason X was in the theatrical version of the film, it was really brutal in the work print screened at the 2002 Camp event. It's not all that different, but there's more splatter, the cavity in the skull is more impressive, and there's a longer shot of the fallout on the exam table. It got a wild reaction from those of us watching it, that's for sure.

That's a kill that's hard to top - even I can't fuck with Jason X too much with that and the pre-marital sex scene. :X

10. Strapping Young Man (Friday the 13th Part V, 1985)

You’ve got to hand it to Jason imitator Roy Burns: he might not have been the real deal, but he certainly racked up a staggering body count (17, which remained the high point until Jason X). He makes the list here for his creativity, as his diabolical use of a leather strap to crush poor Eddie’s eyes is quite inventive. And to think, just minutes earlier, those eyes were beholding Debisue Voorhees’s (no relation) rack, which still remains the most impressive of the series to date (do I smell another list there?). I can still remember my mom chastising me when I would talk about how cool this death is. Who would have thought I’d still be doing the same thing 20 years later?

Ive allways liked this one listed above. Another kill i allways liked not on your list was Julius's death in part 8.

Think because of 3 be filmed in 3D efeected the kills ? Or directing ? But you are right nothing in 3 sticks out.

Nice list and i agree with most of it like 98%.
