So, which entry in this classic buddy-cop series is your favorite?

I like all four equally.

I always liked LW 2 the best. From the opening car chase, to Riggs' highrise plunge into the swimming pool with the bad guy, to the bad guys turning Riggs' trailor into swiss cheese, to the final shoot-out at the docks.

And I like how after the bad guys kill Riggs' girlfriend then admit that they also killed his wife a few years earlier, Riggs goes full on Rambo and throws the rules of being a cop out the window.

Rumor is that there were a couple different ways they were going to end this movie. One was Riggs' was supposed to die at the end when he gets shot which would have ended the series there. And a second ending which they said that they had shot completely was having Riggs' girlfriend survive and showing them having Thanksgiving dinner with the Murtaugh Family at the end. They decided to re-shoot and have her die this way it would give Riggs more hatred toward the bad guys during his Rambo stage.

I like them all, but I picked part 4. It's always good to see Jet Li kick the shit out of two old men :D.

Take care and God bless.

My ranking 2>4>1>3

2 has the best villains (south african racists! and the killers of Riggs wife), a pissed of Riggs, the best showdown (the falling container) and the best jokes (the exploding toilet).
4 was very entertaining as well. 1 didnīt have the running gags yet ("let me count to 3!"). 3 was just lame!

My fave was 4. Never liked the rest.

I'll also say Lethal Weapon 2. Everything about that film just screams awesome louder than Riggs screamed his head off in the opening sequence. The stilt house destruction, Patsy Kensit's rack, Leo Getz, the condom commercial gag, the ship shootout, the hotel window jump, Riggs' trailer destruction, the toilet bomb, and every other aspect of this film made it the darkest and most emotional installment. Aside from that, it had the best and most intimidating set of villains.

Beyond 2, which is the best, I'd rank it 2,1,3,4. None of them are bad, of course. I happen to like Lethal Weapon 3, because the renegade cop plot was done very well. I think that Jack Travis wasn't very intimidating, but this one had the armored car chase, the burning building fight, and the coolest title sequence ever. The original will always be special to me for that Gary Busey character, Mr. Joshua. What a fucking badass.

I like them all.

Actually, my favorite is 4. I've always been a fan of Jet Li's movies from the early 90's, so I really liked how they included martial arts in it. :)

I like all four, but 4 is my favorite with 2 close behind.

Not a rumor. True on both accounts. The latter is talked about on the Lethal Weapon 4 DVD, when they show the lost footage not released for the Director's Cuts of the first three films.

Now to finally answer my own poll...they're all great, but the original is my favorite. It tells the best story in my opinion, and Mr. Joshua is the top villian of the series in my view. I mean, it's Gary Busey (nope, not Nick Nolte).

Lethal Weapon. Riggs is burnt out & psychotic. I loved Gibson's portrayal of him in the first. LW2 is damn great too & easily right up there with the first. The toilet bomb part is hilarious. The bomb squad leader is the dude that played the priest in Phantasm II. 3 & 4 are pretty good sequels that I greatly enjoyed.

Riggs' flipout towards the end of part 2 is awesome. And he pulls down the house using his truck. Oh yeah!
