I understand your affection for CP3 despite its departure in tone and missing Alex Vincent's Andy. I think the first time I saw it was on USA Network as a kid, and I may even have seen it before the original, so it sticks with me (along with CP2, which I enjoy more and probably place second on my list). And Chucky's look at the end of 3 was sweet as hell. :D Good article!

Yeah, I think it's a bit of a shame that the cool Chucky look we've become accustomed to since BoC is at least partially owed to the face chopping of part 3 and to be quite honest, I think the stitched up change in appearance is one of the things that really sets BoC away from the rest of the series.

I also think it has some of the best lines in the series, it's definitely the NOES 4 of the cucky realm in that regard.

This is why I like these lists--you never quite know where it's going to go. I would guess that most would agree with the first being the best, but after that, it seems like it could go anywhere with this series. I personally agree with the first and Bride being the best 2. After that, 2 is solidly in the middle. Seed and 3 could really go either way though. They're both flawed for many different reasons, and it just comes down to which kind of Chucky flick you want to watch. There's really no nostalgic ties to either one to help set them apart from each other. I guess I saw 3 a good amount of times back in the day, though.

I actually get the most nostalgic about Bride at this point because holy fuck did it seem to come out of nowhere. It was released right in that period of time right when I got internet access, so it was just fucking pimp to find out about a new Chucky movie out of the blue. Then his voice showed up on Monday Nitro and terrified Rick Steiner. Great booking from the old WCW territory.

I would order them:

1. Child's Play: Fantastic and very creepy. Doesn't lose its charm to this day.
2. Child's Play 2: Lots of laffs and great acting, I liked Andy's especially
3. Bride of Chucky :Funniest out of all of them. Not very scary, but a great black comedy nonetheless
4. Child's Play 3: Eh, not too good, but had some great moments
5. Seed of Chucky: Terrible. Never should've been made.

Part 3 is my least fav in the series, I just found it dull. I actually quite like Bride - it was an interesting addition to the series.

I'm not really a fan of Chucky, so my list of worst to first would entail:

1. Bride of Chucky

Jennifer Tilly was the best thing that happened to those films. Although that could probably be said of anything she appears in. And if you're wondering why I rank 2 over 1, that's easy: Jenny Agutter.

I think 2 is the funnest. That finale scene is amazing!

The order I saw em in, and honestly, I love all of them, but I can't see myself changing that order. Matches up about right.
