Just got done watching this movie again, I love it. Lots of kick-ass action scenes and great performances from every actor. I can't wait for the Special Edition DVD coming out next month. Any other Face/Off fans here?

I enjoyed this film as well. It really toys with your emotions and puts you in that 'what would I do?" frame of mind. Very well put together movie, and in my opinion, VERY over rated.
Travolta and Cage do a good job playing BOTH characters. I wonder if the DVD will discuss the shooting schedule and such. I'd be interested in hearing if they shot all the scenes in one role together and then as the other role together.

I think both Travolta and Cage played both characters very well, but IMO Cage was the best actor in the film. The transition from Troy to Archer was very convincing and well-done, and when he was Troy he was actually quite disturbing and creepy in the role. He should play more villains.

For some reason I always get this and Broken Arrow confused with. Maybe because both have John Travolta?

Great movie. Both leads provided solid acting and the action sequences were fantastic.

They were amazing in it...both of them.

My favorite action scene for sure is the penthouse shoot-out, although the opening with the airplane runway chase and hanger shootout was also awesome.
I loved this movie when I first saw it and I still like it a lot but one thing that really gets me and I always find silly is that somersault Cage does when ever he pulls his gun.
It's just pointless and silly looking.

The SE DVD of this comes out on Tuesday, I'll definitely be getting it. I'll pawn off my current copy of the original DVD and use whatever money I for from it towards the SE (I already have $20 that I'm saving for it).

Just got the new Special Collector's Edition DVD and watched it, then checked out the deleted scenes. They were interesting to see but nothing special. I'll check out the other features later.

One of my favorite action flick's of all friggin time. When I first went to see this puppy at the theater for the first time I wasn't ex[ecting too much from it. Boy, was I wrong.:D You had to peel me off the damn cinema cieling after it was done. The airport chase, and the prison escape are my two favorite scene in the flick. Back then Nicholas Cage was the action man with this , Con Air,and The Rock. I've been meaning to get the DVD for awhile now, and the special edtion just clinches it.

The new DVD has a great new transfer that's an improvement on the original DVD's transfer and some very good extras. I enjoyed the commentaries, the multi-featurette documentary and the deleted scenes. It's worth every penny.

Touched on this one in the Con Air thread, so I figured I'd resurrect this. I've always enjoyed it but for some reason, I've not felt the need to revisit it. Probably been close to 10 years since I last watched it, so I might need to give it a spin soon.
I've always dug the performances in this one, if they're maybe perhaps a little over the top. Castor Troy is a great character, regardless of who's playing him. Although, I think Cage was a bit better than Travolta was.
Plus, few other action flicks can boast that they've had a roller coaster named after them...

Of course, that was when Paramount owned Kings Island. Since they sold it, the ride has been renamed "Invertigo".
