Yes it was a staple in my viewing whenever HBO would air it. Easily one of my most favorite 80s memories.

I feel like it kind of falls apart at the end with Ms. Mumsley in the garbage can and just the whole sequence that ends with revealing it was all a dream.

I quoted it for years with a friend until we kinda just stopped quoting it.

I think this is the movie that I saw on some spanish channel one day. I couldn't understand a word of it but it was still friggin hilarious.

I think this movie is so forgotten in the world of Paramount (I think them) that it'll never get DVD treatment. I'm sure you can check Ebay/Amazon for a VHS of it (and ebay does have dvds but their legality isn't exactly kosher.

Whatever happened to The Stick anyway. He's the actor that played Malvert the Janitor.

I got a pretty decent DVD of this film back in March at Fear Fest. I hadn't seen it since junior high, and the humor held up surprisingly well.

I never really liked this movie. I have it on DVDr from a site that digitally transfers them and pretty much makes professional looking copies. I have been trying to get the VHS and Laserdisc but they go for 20+ - 50+ respectively.

I just collect HTF films, but I never thought this one was great. Just entertaining 80's cheese.

As for spoofs, I like Decampitated better.

Yeah, I bought a rare VHS copy of this on eBay awhile back for like $30.

I've always liked Student Bodies. It's way better than the awful Scary Movies.

Great 80's cheese. :)

I said it before (on the old forum) and I'll say it again, this movie is so stupid that I actually like it, the part that gave it it's R rating is so cloassy, and so original too and most of all hilarious

This is the last, unreleased title on my list of movies I want on DVD. It's funny though, Paramount is well aware of the demand from fans of the film for a DVD release. A few years ago it was on a list at the HTF people could vote for. Obviously such a title got buried beneath Paramounts vast library but when all was said and done there were a good amount of upset people. Paramount simply replied "why didn't you vote for it?"....oh well. Anyway, it's not coming this year so bring on September 2008. Although, I've not noticed any announcements from Paramount regarding 'horror' titles this year, usually they announce them in June/July but maybe I missed something.

If there's one thing I'll always remember from this film until the day I day, it's "Horsehead book ends"! Hehe, how original.

"Funerals make me hot."
"Garbage makes me hot."
"75 cents an hour!"

I like this movie far more than any horror comedy, but it's also one of the first movies I find that was just beyond stupid

I think I saw some of this movie a long time ago on Comedy Central one day when I played hookie... er, um, was sick and had to stay home from school. Did the opening involve a girl with a menacing phone call or something, and then there's a scene where she finds a chicken leg (like from KFC), and then she eats it?

Okay, it sounds stupid when I describe it, but it was hilarious when I saw it. Either way, I think I'll try to find this to rent.

Thanks! Oh, now I remember what cracked me up about that part thanks to YouTube.

Guy (finds chicken leg on ground with a bite taken out of it): "Hmm, chicken."
(guy picks it up and looks back down at bite on floor)
Guy: "Hmm, broken."
(guy picks up bite, puts in on leg, wraps a rubberband around the leg to hold the bite in place, and puts the leg back in the refridgerator.)

The way he says "hmm, chicken... hmm, broken" cracks me up so hard.

Is this movie worth $15 on DVD? I've seen it at FYE and want to give it a watch but don't know if I want to pay that much for it. May just grab it off Amazon for cheaper sometime.

Probably better to drop $10 or less on it. It's not bad; in fact, it's actually pretty clever at times. But I don't know if it's worth $15. Shit, you can get it for like $8 new on Amazon now, so yeah, save that money.

I'm so glad we have a thread for this movie. Not that I actually have anything to say about it right now. Just good to know it's there if I need it.

Man the only person with this movie I can find that talks about it was a random extra on myspace. We used to talk 3 years ago but myspace has since died off and I think I deleted him anyway lol.

Chris, including shipping, you can get Student Bodies on Ebay for $7 to around $8.50 or so. It's a decent movie, but I definitely wouldn't pay $15 for it.

I remember seeing it on their occasionally. I think they've even played it on one of the Encores at one point....probably Encore Mystery.
