I found this from the IMDB boards. I thought it was a good video. I haven't seen most of the shows, but I have to admit I got teary-eyed when Boy Meets World showed up. Just wondering what you guys think of it. Did you watch any of these shows shown?

I know it's a matter of opinion, but could that list not look anymore like it was made by a pre-teen girl?

If you were really going to make a list of the best series finales, I think you'd have to include M*A*S*H and Seinfeld seeing how much those series finales were hyped.

I'll have to think about my personal top ten series finales, but rest assured both "The Golden Girls" and "3rd Rock from the Sun" will make the list, and not just because they're my favorite shows... their series finales are really good.

should be titled "Top Series Finales that took place after 2000" because I can think of much better finales

I would argue to say that had Millennium ended at season 2 it would remain one of the most haunting, brilliant and startling endings to a series ever. The image of Frank with shocking white hair, mourning the suicide of his wife while awaiting the supposed end of the world. His daughter Jordan curls up beside him, giggling at his white hair. And then we fade to static.

Yeah, I would also agree that MASH had an amazing series finale. But, on the list I agree about Boy Meets World, but maybe I'm biased because I grew up with the show, it was a very great finale though. I can't remember if it was there, but I hear the Buffy finale was great as well.

Angel had a good series finale. How they left the show with Angel & his crew facing a shit load of demons, pretty cool

Of the 10 they show there I agree that Sex and the city, Friends, Alias and Six Feet Under had really nice finales.

Newhart. It was totally unexpected and original.

The friends finale was just... meh. Not bad, but nothing to make it one of the best ever.

Seriously, that list was compiled by a 14 year-old girl. Not to say I don;t watch any of those shows, it's just there are better finales as mentioned above from older shows.

1. Highlander The Series. To me, that's the way to go out and leave the door open for the fourth film. Even though I knew that Duncan MacLeod wasn't going to die, I was on the edge of my seat at the start.

2. M.A.S.H. was another good one. It wrapped up everything nicely and tied everything together. Right off when the episode began, it was a shock to see and yet, looking back from season two on, you could tell it was coming.

3. That 70's Show. The final season was hit and miss, but the finale worked well. Very appropriate in how they wrapped up the series and made sense.

4. Angel. It ended on both a down note and a positive one.

5. Buffy. We get one hellva final battle and a happy ending to boot.

6. Moonlighting because it was so oddball, which fit the whole show. The characters really break the fourth wall in this one.

7. The Cosby Show was mostly satisfying and it worked well. And again, we had a breaking of the fourth wall.

8. The Golden Girls. It was funny and sad all at the same time.

9. Quantum Leap. It was well done and had set up the door for another year. I, for one, was glad that they were able to resolve a Leap from way back in season two.

That's all I've got.

Angel. SO dark in tone, so fitting in every possible way. Every single main character, Angel, Spike, Gunn, Wesley, Illyria, Lorne, Lindsey, Conner, got exactly what they deserved/needed, whether they wanted it or not. The last five minutes are exactly what the show's about. He'll probably die (that is, until After the Fall came along) but even if he doesn't, he'll just fight again. My only complaint is that I wish they could've known about it in advance. I was always disappointed by the Circle of the Black Thorn. These are the most evil people on the planet who have been running the show, behind the scenes and they are... people from the past 10 episodes. I would've loved to have seen a pure Injustice Gang/Sinestro League version. A "Who's Who" of the baddies from the Buffyverse. Would've made a perfect finale above and beyond perfect.

Now that's a far better list than the one in the video.

Take care and God bless.

What about a Bottom 10 Series Finale?

Will & Grace would make that list. That finale SUCKED!

Sorry for yelling. ;)

This is my favorite ender of all.

I liked the Angel Finale, Cheers, Buffy, Nypd Blue was OK, Hill Street Blues, Quantum Leap, MASH

Really sucky finales = Seinfeld(but I guess your finale can only be as good as the show allows and I really thought Seinfeld was a really bad show and Jerry Seinfeld is very not funny)

I've only watched it once on DVD, but the series finale of "Miami Vice" was quite good. I'd also re-enforce support for the Buffy, Angel, Quantum Leap, Cheers, & M*A*S*H finales.

I'll tell you some of the worst finales were The X-Files, Seinfeld, Roseanne, & Sliders. I also don't care for really any of the Star Trek series finales besides DS9. Voyager's ended like they ran out of time in the episode, and decided to cut out the real ending. Next Gen's just was too bogged down in techno-babble to have much meaning. Even "Star Trek: Generations" was better, IMHO. Enterprise's finale was pretty weak, and felt thrown together at the last minute (which it pretty much was).

No offense to Trek fans, but that's how I feel about the entire show.:p
