Shoot `Em Up Red-Band Trailer (http://youtube.com/watch?v=idu-qKurTPQ)

Who else is pumped for this film because I'm ready to see this film right now! Also it's about time that Clive Owen needed his own action film.

I saw this trailer earlier this summer, and I think it's got a fantastic cast. I'll definately be checking this out.

When i saw this trailer, i was dumbfounded. The plot is way too simple..... yet i'm going to be there when it opens in theatres by me! Clive Owen woooooottt!

This was about as close as a studio movie can get to just plain dumb fun. Clive Owen opines on the 2nd Amendment while putting a bullet in every guy that walks through his door (or any door, for that matter). It won't go down as a bona fide classic, but it was a great late-summer ride.

One of the craziest flicks I've seen in years. The crowd was into also... which made it that much more fun.

Saw this last weekend and it was actually a lot of fun. A very funny and very clever satire on the action film genre which is funny whilst still being straight faced, very similar to an action-movie Scream.

"Eat more vegetables".

Saw this last night.
It was great, my gf kept complaining about having to go see it but at the end even she admitted to having a good time.
All I can say is WOW.
This movie had 3 scenes without a gun fight and the guy kills people with carrots.
This was the most fun I've had in a theater this summer.
Pure action cheese.

Wow. This movie is quite simply entertainment and adrenaline personified. I just saw it for the fifth time tonight.

I can't think of a single film that's packed with more jaw dropping stunts, setpieces, and dialogue that's as cool as it is hilarious. Musically it has the best combination of songs and score since The Devil's Rejects.
Terrific performances from the big three cast members that actually sell lines that wouldn't have worked with other actors delivering them, Owen is now up there with the McClane and RAMBO of the 80s as one of the greatest movie bad-asses to ever live, easily one of the best sleezy villain performances I've ever seen from Giamatti who gives facial expressions that are as unique and sytlish as the dialogue, Monica plays the role with just the right blend of fragility and toughness, especially good in a scene where she has to convey her fear as Giamatti tortures and interrogates her, and a heartfelt scene between her and Owen that got me genuinaly invested in how things turned out for them.
This is the best of every one man army movie ever made from the Stallone, to Willis, to Bronson...blended to perfection with the so over the top that you can't take your eyes off the screen escapist adventure of Sin City, Grindhouse and Kill Bill, but executed in a way that it makes it all its own.

This is the most original, unique cinematic experience of the year by a longshot, and if not for Pan's Labyrinth, it'd be the best film I've seen all year.
In a year loaded with great action films from 300, to Death Sentence, to Live Free or Die Hard, to Hot Fuzz...this blows the doors off of all of them and stands ahead of the pack as the definitive action film of the year, and rivals the classics as one of the greatest ever.

I'm hard pressed to think of a handful of films that gave me a better theatrical experience than this one. It's definitely Clive and Giammitti's best film, and it's Monica's best American film.

I already had obscenely high expectations, and this blew them away.

I finally caught this today on DVD. It's full of ridiculous stunts, ridiculous lines, and a ridiculous plot...and that's a good thing. From a pure entertaining action film standpoint, it's one of the best I've seen in a long time. It's the quirkiest movie I've seen since Planet Terror, though I think I prefer the latter ever so slightly. I'd recommend this one to anyone who likes a good, outrageous romp. Pretty much all 85 minutes of this one are jam-packed with intrigue, and it moves along like a freight train that feels like it's out of control but knows exactly where it's going. That's pretty much the only way I can describe this one.

Overall this was probably one of the most surprisingly hilarious film hits of 2007, something I never imagine dit would be.

Picked this up yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I'm a fan of insane, ridiculous, over-the-top, action films and this one really delivered.

I watched this Thursday night and LOVED it. It was awesome, funny, and had a lot of silly kills and stunts - Just what a guy needs for a typical dude movie. I'll be picking this up for myself in the coming weeks.

My favorite part was when Owen was banging Monica and shooting bad guys at the same time!!

Any guy that can do that in a movie is awesome!!!

Like I told Choko over MSN:

There are over-the-top action movies, and then there's Shoot em' Up

This movie was ridiculously stupid, but it was kind of entertaining. I was in a bad mood when I watched it, so maybe I should take another look.

Absolutely not. I know it was supposed to be all OTT and such and such.

I was kidding hence the smilies. ;)

It's such an insane film and I love the fact that the plot is about access to guns, adding a nice dose of irony to the whole thing.

This is a pretty big guilty pleasure of mine. It was crazy ridiculous and over the top, but it reminded me of a John Woo film. So I enjoyed it more than most.
