Why?

This is one of the greatest bands of all time. My second favorite in existance. In my humble opinion, if a band can bring different sounds to an album/ concert/ both, and do it all very well, they are a phenomenal band. The Foo Fighters have successfully showed us hard rock, punk, grunge, and unplugged acoustics, and every one of there sounds are excellent.

As of right now, there's nothing of theirs I don't like. This being said... discuss...

only just started getting in to them myself, I have their first 3 albums now, all amazing, Dave Grohl is simply an incredible musician, among the best of this era

I personally love any band that can do various different styled of music and pull them off well. That is the definition of rock. The band isn't defined my hard rock, soft rock, metal, acoustic rock... they're just "rock."

This is why my two all time favorite bands will always be Foo Fighters and Skillet.

yeah they are a good band,and i dont knowif you guys know the story of the beconsfeilds miners who were trapped in their for a while,one of them requested an ipod so he could listen to the foo fighters,when dave grohl heard about this he said when they get out,and the next time they are in australia,he will have a beer with them,and he kept his word.
So it seems he really is one of the nicest guys in rock,

I love Foo Fighters acoustic stuff, and am about 50/50 on their other stuff. I like that they are so diverse.

going to their concert here,o.k its not until december,and the seats are not great,but it still should be good,i missed out on seeing them live last time so this should be good.

To me Foo Fighters are a hit or miss band and by that i mean they make some good songs but also alot of a bad songs.

I think they're a great band although they peaked with The Colour and the Shape. They will never top that album.

I prefer Dave Grohl on drums, that's where he belongs. Whether with Queens of the Stone Age or Them Crooked Vultures. I do like a good amount of Foo stuff though.

they're coming here the same night as Journey, though I'd much rather see Foo Fighters, Journeys tickets went on sale about a month before Foo Fighters even mentioned a tour, so I'm a little upset to be missing them, but I've never seen Journey or any of the other classic bands they are coming with (Foreigner and Night Ranger) and this will probably be my only chance, Foo Fighters will be coming to town hundreds of more times...besides I got great seats for Journey

saw the fooies last night and got to say it was agreat show,they did a three hour set,and dave played to the whole crowd,not just standing in one place,
They played mostly their hits with only a few new songs,which is what you want at a concert,and they finished up with everlong.
