HAWKS VS PREDS - Hawks in 4

CAPS VS HABS - Caps, though I want both out of the playoffs, realiztically Washington could all too likely go all the way
DEVILS VS FLYERS - Devils, simply because Boucher can NOT carry a team, despite New Jersey's offensive woes
SABRES VS BRUINS- Sabres, both defensive teams and lack enough offense (suck on that Boston:p) but in terms of defense, Myers can kick Chara's ass, and Vanek is all the offense Buffalo needs since Boston is without their former 36 goal scorer who wound up scoring 30 goals with the 2011 Stanley Cup champs
PENS VS SENS - Pens, I think this is the most even match, cause both haev had ups and downs over the season, but Sens have come up big when they had to, while Pens rarely have but they do have some of my least favourite players in the nhl to overcome Ottawa's offense
WEST
SHARKS VS AVS - Sharks :( Avs have fallen and I would LOVE to see them win...but I don't see it happening
HAWKS VS PREDS - Hawks going all the way
CANUCKS VS KINGS - Kings, though very unexperienced in the playoffs, they have much better scoring potential, despite Vancouver having the art ross winner
COYOTES VS WINGS - Detroit, even though I want Phoenix to win, Detroit has been hot lately and Phoenix doesn't have enough playoff experience

Heres my picks the winners listed only.
Caps
Flyers
Sabres
Pens
Sharks
Hawks
Vancouver
Detroit
Some of these teams id like to see lose but they wont. Id love to see PHX,NJ,LA win but they wont.
I think Devils vs Flyers is going to be the closest and most interesting series.

Devils and Flyers are fierce rivals so game should have a lot of hitting and grinding. I hope my Flyers pull it out. Just making it to the 2nd round would be a victory for the Flyers given all the ups and downs and injuries this season.
^ Had they not had so many injuries, I think they would have been in the top 5 or 6 teams in the league.
On a Pale Horse
04-13-2010, 01:56 PM
Yeah definitely. They started off really strong, then tanked. Then from a stretch of of like Dec thru Feb they had the best record in the league.
Same with my Carolina Hurricanes, injuries during the first 3 months fucked them big time, had they won like 10 more games during the season, they'd have been in the playoffs.
CanadianFonzie
04-14-2010, 03:15 PM
you can say that about any team though, look at my Leafs, yes we went on a 9 game losing streak at the beginning of the season but we didn't have our top scorer and both our goalies at one point were injured and Joey MacDonald is not that good of a goalie lol, but than look at Boston, who had like 15 games all season with their roster healthy, and they made the playoffs

My Flyers with big win over the Devils in game 1! And the Pens lost too!! Nice night!!
And over in baseball my 1st place Phillies are winning 14-7!!

is it too late to change my prediction to the Sens winning? I wanted to say them before, but than I thought people would be like "are you fucking stupid?!" lol

I hope so. The Pens always have the Flyers number, so if another team can eliminate them, it will be great for the Flyers- (assuming the make it past 1st round.)
I am stunned at the Nashville's upset.

Flyers take the lead in the Devils series. And I got tickets to game 5, AWAY GAME. Devils arena is only like 90 min from me so making the trip up there. Should be fun to wear my Flyers jersey in hostile NJ crowd during the playoffs!

Flyers up 3-1 in series after big win last night. That means the game I goto could be the elimination game!! BUT looks like Carter and Gagne might both be injured. Damn Philly is cursed with injuries in all 4 sports!

well it's looking like they might be the first team to advance, last I checked the score was 3-0
Triple OT, that was exciting.
It'd be awesome to see this series go 7 games
Philly played great too.
ADDED:
BTW The Avs need to turn down the suck
CanadianFonzie
04-23-2010, 04:14 PM
Anderson made like 95 saves in 2 games, that makes Colorado think that he can carry them into the next round, hopefully last night woke them up
other than that liked last night, I really never cared who moved on in the phili series, but I'd have prefered NJ only because of my hatred for Carcillo, and the Pens have yet to advance so I'm very happy about that
but more importantly the Hawks finally scored some goals and evened up the series, so for the next 2 days atleast I can breathe easy
Is it just me, or have all the games this round been way unpredictable and a little more fun than usual?

EVERYONE has noticed lol
It'd be really fucking cool if every series went to a game 7... but only if the Devils, Pens, Canucks and Wings lost.

watched the Chicago game at my store today, I will be surprised if there is a more exciting edge of your seat game this playoffs, I mean a shorthanded goal 13 seconds left in the 3rd to tie it up and than the player who just finished a 5 minute major getting the winning goal

I was hoping Sens would pull off upset against Penguins. Oh well. I'd be really happy of Habs pull off of some kind of miracle and beat Caps so Flyers don't have to play them in round 2. But highly unlikely.

Highest remaining plays lowest remaining, and the two middle teams play each other.
For instance, if Montreal wins: #8 Montreal plays #4 Pens and #7 Flyers play #6 Bruins
BUT if Caps win... #1 Caps play #7 Flyers and #4 Pens play #6 Bruins.
In the WEST, #2 Chi plays #3 Vancouver and #1 SJ will play winner of #4 Phx/#5 Det
======
This is why I've been really pulling for Montreal to win. I would much rather get the Bruins than the Caps.

I agree. I am mixed on it though. I'd love to see the Pens play against the Bruins but I know the Flyers will struggle more with the Caps.
ADDED:
If it is the Wings vs the Pens again in the finals, I will be boycotting the final round.
I am sick and tired of both of those teams... and I hate the Canucks.
So basically, I will cheer for...
Sharks
Hawks
Bruins
Philly
Caps/Habs
Nucks, Pens, Wings can go fuck off :meh:

04-28-2010, 02:40 PM
Philly curse continues every year. Gagne, Carter, and Laperriere all out. Carter is leading scorer, Gagne is good scorer, and Laperriere is fierce 4th line center who kills penalties and irritates opposing top forwards.
ADDED:
So far I am 6-1 in my picks with the 8th series to be decided tonight. I HOPE I am wrong about Caps winning though.

damn it, now I have to root for the Sharks, who I hate but would rather they win than having the same final round at any cost
damn it, now I have to root for the Sharks, who I hate but would rather they win than having the same final round at any cost
What's up with the Shark hate? Is it cause of Heatly? Which is what I hear around here a lot...
So, the West looks like this
Vancouver vs Chicago (I will be praying that Chicago wins)
Detroit vs San Jose (I pray that SJ wins)
I beg of God, NOT to have a WINGS vs PENS final again. If that is true, at my next restaurant safety inspection, I will find a deep fryer to put my head in. :shifty: :shifty:

I have no opinion on Heatley, my dislike for San Jose stems to my group of friends who love them
I have no opinion on Heatley, my dislike for San Jose stems to my group of friends who love them
That is partly why I dislike Vancouver. The fans there are pretty brutal (*anyone remember them shining laser pointers at Kipper?) and pretty ignorant. Plus, I am not a big fan of their coach, and two plays that I dislike are on that team.
I'd have to say out of all the remaining teams, I like Chicago the best. Once they are out (if they get eliminated) I will pick my least hated of the group.

ROUND 2 PICKS
Flyers vs Bruins - Flyers in 6 (although our injuries are going be a big factor)
Habs vs Pens - Pens in 7 I really want to call the upset here, but Crosby is red hot
SJ vs Wings - SJ in 7. Tough series here, could easily go the other way
CHI vs Van - Vancouver in 7
All these 2nd round matches are tough to call!!

Funny thing about Flyers-Bruins series is that Flyers are the 'underdogs' and Bruins have home ice. Flyers had 41 wins and Bruins had 39. But Bruins had ton of OT and SO losses so they had a couple more points than the Flyers. B's were essentially rewarded for losing.

I am not a leafs fan, but I agree with you. It was strange being really happy that the Habs won. I hate the Pens (no, it's not a Crosby dislike thing, I have never liked the Pens).
One other thing, the only two players on the Pens that I really like are Jordan Staal and Evgeni Malkin. Also, am I the only one that think Matt Cooke is a fucking asshole?
Brett H.
05-03-2010, 05:54 PM
I said Cooke was an asshole when he played for Vancouver, but fuck, no one could figure that out. And now suddenly everyone hates him. Another reason I don't watch hockey, idiot fans don't know SHEE-IT about the game and only retread yap the announcers say because they can't figure shit out for themselves.
Kind of like how every announcer out there is supporting the crap pussy hockey they play now... find some footage pre-lockout when shit like that was being pledged for and they'd have nothing of it. But now their paycheques are on the line so they're more than happy to open wide and swallow.
Hopefully Sid can rebound in the next game, but if not I hope the Habs win the Cup, if only because they're Canadian.

05-05-2010, 01:44 AM
Pittsburgh and Montreal are my hated teams, Pittsburgh because of a long yet understandable grudge on Crosby and Montreal cause of the Leafs, I mean before I worked at my store I just didn't pay any mind to Montreal, but now at work customers are always insulting the Leafs and rooting for montreal and it's just turned me against montreal
there really isn't a third team I dislike, there are teams that I just don't root for however, like Ottawa, San Jose and Washington
Another thing that pisses me off about Pittsburgh, Washington and to an extent the Calgary Flames... BANDWAGON FANS. Yes, it is OK to cheer for a team that wasn't "yours". But, I dislike it when people have never paid attention to a team before, but once they start winning, they have hats, jerseys, and are acting like they have loved the team since the start, if the team loses, then they hate them again. Same thing pissed me off about Carolina, I have been a fan since Hartford, then all of a sudden, it was 'Canes fever.
Basically, not all bandwagon fans piss me off, just a select few that act like they were die hards from day one and are only fans when the team is winning.
Brett H.
05-05-2010, 06:49 PM
I often wondered what Brody was smoking in Mallrats when he said that whatever team only beats the Whalers very rarely. That just ain't accurate. :X
Calgary had no fans a decade or so ago, but I respect them more than Edmonton fans because at least Calgary never burned down their own city when they lost.
I often wondered what Brody was smoking in Mallrats when he said that whatever team only beats the Whalers very rarely. That just ain't accurate. :X
Actually, he said that he was playing as the Whalers and they were spanking the Canucks ass... "Hartford, the whale? They beat Vancouver once, maybe twice in a life time."
I am from Calgary, and I dislike the Flames.... well not so much the Flames, but our fans are a strange lot :X
Brett H.
05-05-2010, 07:11 PM
Ahhh, makes sense. I always remembered it the other way, but it has been a few days since I have watched Mallrats, if you know what I mean. Sometime in high school, probably. I watched it a ton back then.
I hate Toronto fans because even with 29 other teams out there, 90% of which have much more interesting players, still think their team is the only one that exists. Back in 03 I legit hated the Canucks because of Brian Burke and Marc Crawford and how their stupidity trickled on down an entire team.

spend a week in Toronto and you'll find that was 100% wrong
and for those of us dedicated Leaf fans, you'd rather we start liking another team and wait for the Leafs to be good again? after all this talk about bandwagoning

I am no fan of the Flames, but what those 'Nuck fans did to Kipper with the laser pointer was stupid. I wouldn't care what team did that... It's disgusting. I think what pisses me off is fans, staff and whatnot, rather than the actual teams... or if I dislike a player, I will have distaste for the team. I love Iggy and I thought Dion was a good player, but I am not a fan of my hometown team (I also dislike the Sutters - who think they are God's gift to hockey, but can't do shit for coaching the Flames)
I did like the Canucks back in the days of Linden and Bure, hell even Messier, but then they started to be massive assholes (MATT COOKE and so forth) and their fans turned into asshats and worse than Calgary fans. Even here in Calgary and other parts of South Alta, the majority of Canuck fans are cocky assholes.

The fans such as myself and others see it also and can't stand them cause they don't follow through thick and thin and you can't talk to them cause they "know" everything about hockey when in reality they don't know a thing.
The one thing that has surprised me so far is the Wings play again SJ. I just didn't expect them to be down 3-0 in the series. Didn't they have a 3-1 lead in the third period of the last game? I only caught bits and pieces so I could be wrong but when I heard the final I heard they lost 4-3 in OT.

We will see what happens tonight with the Pens vs. Habs and Det vs. SJ. Should be interesting. I think the Habs can tie it up the way their goalie has been playing.

I don't deny that Crosby is a great player, I just don't like his constant whining to officials, and besides as good as he is, I doubt he would make it AS FAR without the likes of Fluery, Malkin, Staal, Gonchar, and so forth. The thing that bothers me most about Pittsburgh (and it's the same thing as the Oilers of the mid 80's) is that they think it is all CROSBY, they act like he is the NHL's golden boy (which I don't deny he is in the top 5 in the NHL), but they don't act like the TEAM is great. Hell, even Bettman is probably a closet Pens fan, when in reality hardly anyone gave a flying fuck about them until 2005. I do like the Pens as a TEAM, but when everyone started to like them because of ONE player, I don't like that at all. It's the same thing with Vancouver & Detroit.
*Note: I know there are a lot of fans who have been lifelong Pens fans, and some honestly cheer for them because they like the whole team, but liking them JUST BECAUSE of Crosby is silly. That would be like me becoming a massive Leafs fan just due to having Phanuef as a favorite defenseman.
BTW - Now, a lot of people are calling Vancouver CANADA'S TEAM and starting a bandwagon here. They want the Nucks to win due to Vancouver hosting the Olympics and are saying that it is gonna be the Pens vs Nucks in the finals :shifty: Oh well, better than Wings vs Pens.

I am no fan of the Flames, but what those 'Nuck fans did to Kipper with the laser pointer was stupid. I wouldn't care what team did that... It's disgusting.
Totally agreed on the laser pointer stuff, and the fact that it happened there more than once just made me like them less than I did to start with.
I think what pisses me off is fans, staff and whatnot, rather than the actual teams... or if I dislike a player, I will have distaste for the team. I love Iggy and I thought Dion was a good player, but I am not a fan of my hometown team
When it comes to Iggy I don't think anyone can dislike him, but I was hating the flames long before he showed up there. :p Dion's another story as I could never stand that caveman headed ass. Good defenceman though. :)
I also dislike the Sutters - who think they are God's gift to hockey, but can't do shit for coaching the Flames
Hallelujah! :D
Though I admit I love hearing, and have to keep myself from laughing out loud everytime those mushmouths speak. Very Rocky Balboa punch drunk like. :)
Even here in Calgary and other parts of South Alta, the majority of Canuck fans are cocky assholes.
And as mentioned, have still won nothing. :) I don't get it either. :p

I always switch teams due to the players I like being on them. Like if Iggy and Kipper get traded, the Flames wouldn't interest me much. I used to love LA but when Luc, Kurri and Gretz left, well, what was the point. I never cheer for a logo.

Your 100% right. Now don't get me wrong. I like Crosby cause he is very talented but he's not my favorite player on the team. I actually like Malkin and Talbot better. I get tired also of seeing and hearing nothing except Crosby this and Crosby that for the Pens. I get it... he's a good player but there are other players on the Pens team (and all around the NHL in the playoffs right now) who are also very good. The last I checked Crosby might be able to get a lot of goals but how many would he have without the team he has around him? That's just my opinion though.

Exactly. I love Malkin, Talbot, and Gogo. I think they are awesome. People seem to forget that the Pens are MORE THAN CROSBY. To be perfectly honest, that is the only reason I dislike the Pens, people seem to think that it's only him... but in 2005-2006 they didn't do shit. It wasn't until they got Staal, Malkin and a few others that they truly kicked ass. Crosby is great, he is fun to watch, but if he didn't have the other team members backing him up, then the Pen's would still be at the bottom.
Look at the Flames, they had the lowest goals against, and scored the 2nd least amount of goals. It's just proof that you need a TEAM around you to win. Not just ONE super amazing player or goalie. I can pretty well say if the flames had Crosby/Malkin or the Sedins, that they would have been close to a cup.

I agree completely, however sometimes a logo means something important, like Colorado's logo will always mean Joe Sakic's logo, and you can't deny the great Sakic, which is why they are still favourite team of mine after Sakic

Yep. I don't deny that Crosby is a great player, I just don't like his constant whining to officials, .
So Crosby is the only guy in the league that whines ? I think not ive been watching hockey since 1980 and Lemieux cried all the time in fact he quit crying about clutching and grabbing. He cried about the NJ Devils trap defense Brett Hull cried they all cry all of them watch a game there allways laboring for a call from the ref.
Funny also how you just pick Crosby out of a hat for the attention thing.Theres a guy in Washington maybe you heard of him only a million times from the media named OvechkinBut yet no one says anything about him here maybe cause he has not won a cup ? I guess if you win a cup your a target.
Im not saying your opinion is wrong Brama and i respect your opinion. But theres crying from all the others and the same hype Crosby gets Ovechkin gets.

Where did I ever say that he was the only one... I disliked Gretzky's & Mario's whiney attitudes. Also in a survey of players, they even listed Crosby as the biggest current whiner on ice. So, I am not picking anyone out of a hat. Let's not forget Patrick Roy and his attitude either.
I am not even a massive Ovechkin fan, and thought he was an asshole when he wouldn't talk about the Olympics, especially when it is/was a chance to pimp them being in Russia in 2012. He is a moody bugger too and isn't that great of leader half the time. They can't even get past the 2nd round of the playoffs.... but I would say that is DUE TO TEAMWORK! Pittsburgh is a good team, but they are by far from my favorite, even dating back to the days of Super Mario

Fonzie i feel your anger mang everybody wants to fit in and go with the popular decision and its not just the Crosby thing heres many examples.Im a Alice Cooper fan and have been since 86 i have all his albums and if try to talk to someone about Alice they say oh i like that one song Poison yeah so does everyone else.I ask them what album oh i like Trash popular choice easy way out.Pulling for teams everyones thinks they have to pull for the home team and the home team only yeah thats real original homers.I get ridiculed for wearing my Dallas Cowboys and NJ Devils jersey by these PA homers that are not allowed to choose who they can pull for like i can.
F13TH movies are no diffrent either everyone likes TFC the majority of people will allways be swayed by whats popular choice. But yet they will never admit it in fact theyll deny it to with some excuse oh i live here its my home team, etc etc.Im just glad that i can like whatever i want and what is popular.

Yankees #1 by far. Everywhere I go I see people wearing Yankees hats. The worst are the bling shiny ones worn sideways.
LA Lakers are another.

You know, I think that would be a good way to put my Crosby hate.
#1. Rest of the Pens don't get the deserved attention
#2. Everyone acts like he is the saviour of the NHL and the icon of the league
Otherwise, I fully admit that he is a great player, and I enjoy watching him play (he isn't as whiny as he used to be, and doesn't dive as much as he did in the first couple of years)
Hopefully, the Hawks can finish off the Nucks next game, the Pens will lose tonight, Sharks will get rid of the Wings and Philly will hold on.

I dont think Flyers are really a goon team. They have that image from the 70s. They only have one enforcer on the team now. Briere, Gange, and Giroux are small sized, skill players and have been the key players in the playoffs.
Also I disagree with the NJ Devils choking (as opposed to the Flyers beating them). Flyers were 5-1 against NJ in regular season. All Flyers fans WANTED the Devils in the playoffs. The momentum continued and we beat them 4-1.

6-0 DEMOLITION of the Habs tonight!!! Hopefully that sets the tone for the series! 10 straight goals for Flyers.
My picks:
Flyers over Habs (I know I am a little late, but you guys knew I would pick them from the beginning)
SJ over Chicago - I HOPE Chicago wins, but I think SJ will squeeze it out in a tight series.
My picks
Habs in 7
Chicago in 6
I honestly do not care who wins or who loses. I like all the teams that are left, not one of them is on my dislike list and I like players on all the teams.

Holy crap, we're halfway through the playoffs!!!
Okay...
Hawks vs. Sharks:
I love the Hawks.
I want to see Thornton with a cup but if the Sharks win that means Heatley gets the Cup too (not a Heatley fan at all).
Habs vs, Flyers:
Have to go with the Habs (sorry On A Pale Horse :) ). Taking out the Pens and Caps is too big a feat to ignore. Plus Pronger is a $@&%!

Understandable on Habs, but don't forget Flyers are a Cinderella story too. Making the playoffs via shootout on a final day of season, coming back from 3-0 series against Bruins. Plus we've got Carter (leading scorer) and Laprerriere (best PK and grtty forward) about to return to action.
And $@&%! must mean BEAST. Pronger is probably best d-man in playoffs right now. If Flyers win the cup, he will likely be MVP..

but I wonder who'll be MVP when Chicago wins the cup...Toews is leading point getter at the moment...maybe him?

Flyers win again, up 2-0 in the series.
6 straight wins
13 straight goals
2 straight shutouts.
Won't say its over as we've seen plenty of upsets and comebacks this year, but definitely getting excited about the finals!
^ I agree. I don't care who wins, these games are entertaining.

I hope both series are swept, cause right now they are both going my way completely
now I can go into work tomorrow and not deal with the habs lovers cause if they say anything I can just say "well even the Leafs would have scored a goal by now"

I find it really funny that the Habs did so awesome against the Pens/Caps (top seeded teams), and now are getting manhandled by a lower seed. :lmao: I like Philly, (not a hardcore fan - but they have been on my top 10 ever since dumping Lindros)

I think the Flyers are actually a higher seed (7) to the (re)Habs (8). Hence the first 2 games being played in Philly. Just sayin. Flyers in 5, then on to crush the Hawks like baby chicks.

I know.. I didn't mean it that way. I just meant that they are having a tougher time with someone more closer ranked, than they were supposed to with Pitts/Caps :lmao:

If the Flyers end up going all the way and winning it all...Im gonna have to come up with a good excuse to take another trip to Philly for a few days to catch the parade. Any ideas?
But let me not get ahead of myself! We are on fire though

I think a Cup Parade is good enough excuse itself!
I just realized Hossa could be playing in the finals for the third straight year with his third team. He's 0-2 so far!

I was kinda just playing. I'll have no problem getting a few days off but I wouldn't tell them Im going to Philly. I'll just be broke a little while buying a plane ticket on such short notice...
But I definitely don't wanna get ahead of myself...I don't wanna jinx them!

MONTREAL - A complaint has been filed with the National Hockey league after a Canadian TV cameraman was attacked in Philadelphia during a Stanley Cup semifinal game.
It was among several reported incidents involving unruly Flyers fans during the first two games of the Montreal Canadiens-Philadelphia Flyers series.
A spokesman for the CBC's French service says a journalist was doing a report inside the Wachovia Center when someone tried to steal his cameraman's gear Tuesday.
Martin Bonenfant says the crew's producer has formally complained to the National Hockey League and authorities at the arena.
Bonenfant says people also tossed beer at a wire panel on a TV satellite truck outside. The crew from Radio-Canada, the French CBC, had to plug its gear back in to get on the air.
In another incident, a Montreal sports reporter had a tire slashed on his car and his license plate ripped off during Sunday's game.
It was also reported that two Philadelphia fans taunted francophone visitors with racial epithets.
The Twitter page of one reporter, which related the incident, noted the irony that those shouting the epithets were wearing Simon Gagne and Daniel Briere jerseys.
Philadelphia police say they did not receive any reports involving hometown fans during the first two games of the series and, as a result, are not investigating any incidents.
^ I know Philly can be rough, but they are acting like this is the first place this has happened at. Vancouver fans can be just as brutal, except they don't toss shit at the CBC vans (only due to CBC being Canadian)

Montreal a totally different team tonight. I expected them to be, and they will probably win tonight as its a must win for them. As long as they don't kill us 5-1 or something we can still keep our momentum. I just hope for a split in Montreal and head back to Philly 3-1
ADDED:
And kill us 5-1 they did indeed. That was the one thing I didn't want was a blowout. I kind of knew they were going to win game 3 on home ice, but I didnt want a HUGE win for them to carry over into game 4. Hopefully Flyers get focused and come back out hard in game 4.

Word is both Jeff Carter (Flyers leading scorer) and Ian Laperierre (best PK, and feisty player) will be back tonight for game 4. Will be a big boost.
ADDED:
Flyers with ANOTHER shutout. Have shut out the Habs 3 of the 4 games. 1 win away from the finals.
Not to jump the gun but looks like its going to be Philly-Chicago finals. Of course it has been the year of the comeback.
I must say, Leighton is on fire...
Flyers Goalie is amazing this series.

Flyers and Hawks it is! I've been hoping for this series for a couple of years. Two blue collar cities with serious sports fans going head to head.
Flyers in 7, in hard fought, back and forth series.

IDEALLY for me it would be Philly in 6. I will be at Phillies game on June, which is same date as game 6 in Philly. Phillies start at 7 and Flyers at 8. I could watch Phillies and game Flyers on the stadium TVs. Phillies end around 930 and Flyers are only half over. Watch the rest of the Flyers game on tv with 20,000 other fans and then I am right in the middle of the chaos if they win the cup (the stadiums are next to one another).
I can dream anyway :)

Win or lose, Im in the process of making arrangements to come back to Philly. I told myself when the Phils won it all, I'll never miss a parade again...
Here's hoping the flyers kick some fuckin ass tonight on the scoreboard, and if needed, kick some fucking ass on the ice tonight!
GO FLYERS!!

Flyers with big OT win to get back into the series.
On a side note, Claude Giroux is going to be a superstar. He's having HUGE playoff run. I can see this guy being a 90ish point scorer as soon as next year.

Flyers even it up and now we're down to a 3 game series. Flyers were up 4-1, which would have been great momentum going into game 5. But they let Hawks come back and make it 4-3 before getting an EN goal to finish 5-3. So far its been the home team winning all the games, so hopefully Flyers can take 1 in Chicago.
Great Series so far. I don't give a hoot who wins, it's just plain entertaining.

I remember as a kid wondering if the Blackhawks would ever win the Cup... and here we are, 20 years later. Is that what it feels like to be old? I think so.
I didn't watch much hockey this year and I feel bad for what I've missed like I have every year since body contact was taken out of hockey. If anything, the only thing that makes me smile is the young guys seem to be really shining early in their careers like back in the day instead of taking half a decade to mold themselves to the NHL level.

Sad day for us Flyers fans. But it was a hell of a run. I just wish it didn't have to end on such a soft goal. So anti-climatic. We could see the Hawks again next year as they are such a young team. Same goes for the Flyers, but they need to get a real goalie and will have to get past WAS and PITT.

Condolences to Flyers fans.
