Wow... No NCAA Tourney thread for this year, yet. Well, allow myself to start one, now that the Elite Eight is halfway to being determined. hehe.

Any thoughts? Predictions? Reactions to earlier games? Pretty shocked that Syracuse and Kansas are already going to the house. Wish Duke would join them. Maybe tomorrow.

You know, I was sitting here contemplating making a thread about a week ago. Then I started wondering why we didn't already have one, and I realized that North Carolina wasn't worth a shit this year, so none of their fans wanted to discuss basketball season. Oh well, maybe they'll come out for football season...naaah.

As for basketball, its end only marks the beginning of the countdown to aforementioned football season. Fuck it. But I can tell you that Kentucky won't win. Any team that can manage to the University of South Carolina can't be good enough to win it all, mang.

Yes, but we gave South Carolina a good goddamned kick in the butt the second time around. The kind Ken Walsh would be proud of.

Honestly, I'm surprised they've made it this far in the tourney. I think we've had some pretty lucky match-ups thus far, but I'm worried about WVU and I'm worried about Duke.

Our team is young and I don't think they have ever quite gelled at all in any of the games. Yes, they have more talent and potential than just about anyone, but being a first year group, I just don't think the chemistry is there. Lot of sloppiness, lot of laziness at times. What they have managed to accomplish, in my eyes, is based on their own raw skills and talent alone. If these guys had a second year together on the same team... they would be absolutely scary.

Yeah, I would say they probably have the most talent in the tourney. As a UK fan, I do believe you should fear Duke, what with the historical precedent. But I hate Duke, so I dunno who I'd root for if they played each other. Maybe a bloodbath would ensue between Calipari and Coach K. Everyone wins.

Nah... I just didn't think about it. I was too busy crying because my bracket got busted all to shit in the first weekend. I was excited about Butler, but they knocked off my tournament champions and cost me $20... Dammit.

Word. UNC lost 4 starters last season. Sure, you can say what you want about Kentucky and they're young'ins, but when it comes down to it, our starters didn't get enough playing time the last year to two years. No complaints because I have a feeling that we're going to get more depth next season and develope another championship team in 3.

:eek::duh: TRAITOR!!!!! How could you consciously pick Duke out of that field?! ;) Coach K is one of the best coaches in history. However, I cannot, nor will I EVER pick Duke. Especially after the field got sinched out of 3 #1's so quickly. No... I'm going with Cinderella. I'm going with Number 5 Butler. Why? Because they're from my great state and it's time the championship was brought back to the home of basketball. Not to mention they've got more depth, talent and a better defense than half of the teams playing. No... Butler just seems right. That... and they're on a 24 Game winning streak. If you think about it, the only streak better in the NCAA or sports period is Women's UConn. They're favored, again, to win it all and keep their streak alive.

No... Let Butler win it. Then... Just like I want to see UConn get beat, Beat Butler. I can't stand overhype.

I was hoping Wake Forest would have pulled it off. They always get close, but get eliminated around Sweet 16 time.

I can't fucking believe it! Butler, a small school... a small private school from Indianapolis is going to the Championship game on Monday! That was a HORRIBLE display by both teams until the final 3 minutes in the game, but they managed to pull it out and I STILL can't believe they're going! Wow. Just fucking WOW!
