View Full Version : He-Man Vs. Thor

The One and Only

Here's a battle that I thought would be a natural one.
In one corner, some know him as Prince Adam, but most on the planet Eternia know him as
....HE-MAN.
http://top5best.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/he-man.jpg
A powerful warrior, and superhumanly strong to boot. He has defeated some of the greatest threats that his world has ever known.

In the other corner, the God of Thunder, son of the damn near all-powerful Odin, ruler of the Gods of Asgard. A warrior. Hero. Avenger. Wielder of the mystically enchanted hammer Mjonlor. Like He-Man, he has fought ,and won against a host of mighty enemies. His name is.... THOR.

It's the Power of Greyskull taking on the unbridled might of the Odinson.:ballshot::box: In a slobberknocker that will rock the pillars of Heaven. But only one will win, and who do you think it'll be ?

Thor, simply because Thor has fought people that are not from his world or our world, it makes him more dangerous.

He-Man because he's He-Man, and the Master Of The Universe!

He-Man's a good fighter, but I'd give it to Thor based on the fact that when he goes into beserker rage, he's nearly impossible to beat. Though, Superman has beaten Thor and has gone toe-to-toe with He-Man. So, there's that.

Thor. Strength and hand to hand are probably pretty even, but flight and lightning strikes put Thor over top.

Ive got to give credit to batman he alwyas thinks ahead and plans out strategies on how to take down people, even his allies, Superman with kryptonite, Flash with a heavy gravity field etc, he would have no problem with He-man.

Everyone has a weakness, I don't think theres any character that doesnt

He'd watch He-Man from the shadows and when he turned into Adam, Batman would jab two fingers at this throat to keep him from summoning the power and then knock him out.

If it was the classic series he would wonder why everyone was so stupid that they couldn't see who he really was as both Adam and He Man looked exactly the same

Even as a kid that annoyed me.

On that note I remember seeing the one time you did see He Man turn back into Adam the words to turn back were "Let The Power Return"

As for weakness I seem to remember a episode of She Ra where her sword broke (well the jewel did) and she turned back into Adora so i wonder if The Sword of Power was broken if He Man would turn back into Adam.

If He-Man's sword ended up being broken I'd doubt he would revert back to Prince Adam. Their was one episode of the old Filmation series, where the sword was stolen by a rock creature who thought it would give him power to lord over the rest of his race. However it didn't, and realizing what a bully he had had become from his assumptions of possessing the sword. He tossed it down a chasm that lead to the center of Eternia's molten core. Where, it would've melted despite its enchantments, if not for Orko who was exploring down there, and came across the sword in the course of its descent. As far as He-Man and Man-At-Arms was concerned, Adam and Cringer were forever gone with the sword's destruction. And no one else contradicted this idea to them in the episode.

He-Man's ONLY weakness is Castle Greyskull. If Thor managed to invade and take the power itself He-Man's done. But Thor needs the sword of Greyskull to enter, which means he'd have to fight He-Man first.

He-Man has unlimited strength, so mo way I'm hell he could be defeated.

Get Thor's hammer away from him and he goes weak. Get He-Mans sword away from him and he's still the strongest man in the universe.

Not true, Thor can be seperated from his hammer and he's still as powerful, his hammer has its own powers.

Right. Also, not to mention, Thor can use Mjoliner to open a portal into Grayskull and if he had to find another way in, he can bash the drawbridge with it. It wouldn't take long for it to go down. It is a Godlike power.

This version of He-Man would pWn Thor. End of discussion. :side:

No the drawbridge is indestructible. But if he could get in through a portal then I might have to rethink this. Skeletor got in to Greyskull through a portal but got beat down by He-Man, Teela, and Man At Arms. If Thor could get in then He Man might have a problem.

Depends on which continuity you're speaking of. In the 2002 series, Skeletor used the Ram Stone in "Lessons" and "Council Of Evil" to batter the drawbridge and IIRC, he managed to succeed the second time.

I seem to recall that there was a creature in the original series that had the power to break into Castle Greyskull. If it could do it, I think Thor could too. Or, he could just rain down lightening until the door comes down.

Does He-Man even have a weakness what could be exploited- The Dark Vampire

I reckon Thor could hit him over the head with his hammer until his head caved it. If He-Man were invulnterable he wouldn't need to deflect lasers with his sword.

He-Man has unlimited strength, so mo way I'm hell he could be defeated.- Justyn

Thor's strength is virtually unlimited as well.

Darth Sinister
02-28-2010, 10:45 PM
They may be both strong, but Thor has more combat experience as he's been alive longer than He-Man. Add in that berserker mode and He-Man wouldn't be able to last as long as the Hulk, who has been the only one to go toe-to-toe with Thor and win while he's in that mode.

Darth Reaper

And, of course it's good to take into acount that Thor can control the weather. If all else fails he can drop lightening on He-Man until he drops, or nail him with a tornado, or massive hail.

Thor is a god. He-Man hasn't fought a god. Odds aren't good. As to Superman, the dude has fought Thor and Darkseid and beat them. Not to mention he's faster than He-Man.

The Power Of Greyskull gives He-Man the strength of the gods of Eternia. So?
