Just wanted to say that soundtracks are full of goodies. Most of them have a wide variety of music. So, I'll typically buy a soundtrack for a particular song, only to find there are more songs on the soundtrack that I love (and never hear on the radio).

That's one pretty rare, although I do have the Japanese version with the bonus live track, Rapin' My Life Away, which is indeed a variant of the old Eddie Rabbit song. They originally wanted Dio to do the vocals, but he told them to fuck off. Classy guy.

I think I Love a Rapin' Night is on the Indonesian b-side.

Yes, it counts. "Purple Rain", like "Queen: A Kind Of Magic" are the soundtracks, even if they aren't listed as such. If a significant number of songs from one artist are included in a particular film, then it is a soundtrack. And there is nothing wrong if you have a soundtrack on LP, CD or cassette.
