2009 is over whilst I can't say it was a great year if you compare it to the last few years it hasn't been that bad I suppose

I can understand some of it, depending on who's speaking. If the person speaks too fast, it's almost impossible.

But they're different languages. Even Portuguese from Portugal is a little different.

Since my gf was still out when I got home and there was no booze in the house I spent the first couple hours of the new year getting my ass handed to me in Modern Warfare 2.
I suck, but it's so much fun.

Had a pretty good night last night.

Spent it with a lot of friends coming over the apartment. One friend and I were making a bunch of food for everyone, so that was fun, seeing as I love to cook (baking more, though). Played a bunch of games such as Modern Warefare II as well as dusting off some HALO, and played some TEKKEN 6.

Then, the last hour and a half before the ball dropped, we all hung out in the living room and played Pictionary. Believe it or not, that was pretty fun, too.

Then, right after Midnight, I called up my girlfriend and was on the phone with her for quite a while. Sadly, I was unable to spend New Years with her this year, and she stayed home this year too, so she was pretty down in the dumps about the whole situation, but I tried my best to cheer her up. I then called my Mom, whom I am slowly getting back onto good terms with her, and told her about my night.

All in all, I would usually have the thought that "Blah Blah, just another day" pop into my head, but the past week has been a really good week for me. Been keeping an open mind with a clear head, and not sweating the small stuff anymore.
