Its 1:40am here and I just played FFXII for like 2 hrs.... meant to only play for a little bit as I had some work I needed to do...but you know how that goes.

Who else is up on the east coast right now?

Right now I'm checking the messages on this board, getting ready to rewatch Season 2 of Hex, and burning dvd's for a friend.

Anyone go jogging or for a walk real late at night? I love it, its like a different world. Everyone is sleeping, everything is shut down.... so quiet and peaceful. Has kind of an eerie feeling to it too.

Walking at night is great, particularly when it's so hot during the daytime. It's nice to be outside when it's cool(er).

Just got done pine sol-ing the conference room, all doors and desks in the building. We have a board meeting at 09:00 so I'm making sure its nice and pretty for them. Janitorial things are NOT in my job description, nor my underlings. But I figure if I set an example, they'll follow.

It is 12:45 am. I am still up. I usualy work better through the day, if I get 6 or 7 hours sleep. If I sleep more than that, for some reason I sometimes get cranky and misrable.

It's 3:05AM EST, and I'm awake. I'm going to my parents' house today to mow a yard for $25 and to visit for the weekend. I'm hungry, but I have no food. I'm thirsty, and I'll probably walk out to the Coke machine in a minute for a Mello Yello. I have yet to plug my refridgerator back in since I moved back, and I don't think I will. It's a waste of energy. The only thing I'll miss is having a cold drink. Other than that, I can do without refridgerated and/or frozen foods.

I need a job. I wouldn't mind working a night shift since I'm basically up all night anyway. Yesterday I was up until 7:30AM, and I re-arranged furniture from 5AM to 6AM.

Edit: We insomniacs ought to schedule a movietime one of these days. Movietime is a thing some of us used to do in chat, where we'd all watch a movie and riff on it in the chatroom in the wee hours of the morning. Good times.

1:52AM. I'm tired, but I'm too wound up to sleep. I haven't had a chance to work on my bike yet. I suppose I might nod off, then wake up and work on my bike.

I miss going for walks at night. There's not enough light out here to do that, I'd probably break my neck. It's one of the few things I miss about living on Peach Street in Ore City. I used to go out for long walks every night.

I was out on one such walk when I purchased a phone card -- without going out with that in mind -- so I could talk to She Who Shall Not Be Named on the telephone without having to pay long distance charges.

I used to go out late at night with a military backpack. I would fill it with junk -- a towel, a book, a flashlight, a bottle of water and a cup of noodles (which I would stop and prepare at an all-night convenient store).

God in heaven, I miss the 1990s. Good times.

It's 2:58 here in Garden City, SC (it's about 10 miles from Myrtle Beach). I'm on the last night of my vacation and I'm just sitting here doing nothing, basically. It's practically dead outside--even the Pavilion/Arcade area isn't lit up at this hour.

12:51am - Just took my nightly meds (haven't popped an Ambien yet, tho) and am currently bemused by Jeans' wild wacky inflatable arm-flailing tube man avatar. I'd planned on watching an episode of Airwolf before going to sleep, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to.

I'm also home alone, and there's a semi truck parked on the highway in front of my house. Makes me glad I have teh firearms and a Brinks alarm system.

It was fucking HOT today at work, and I still kind of have a heat headache, and I really, really don't want to go in tomorrow, but the boss is sick. Meh.

It's 4:09AM EST, and I'm awake. Quite frankly, I'm scared. I've never been scared in this apartment, but since I've moved back, I've had a hard time laying down with the lights off unless its daytime. I feel creeped out and on edge when its dark outside, and the computer, television, lights, and music are off.

I think it's the combination of my grandfather's recent passing and the lack of anything to do. Classes don't start for awhile, and I've yet to find a job. This apartment is a big, well-furnished coffin.

It's 4:28AM EST, and I can't sleep. I couldn't sleep last night, either, and that was after working over nine hours at my new job. I don't get it. I should have been tired. In fact, I should be tired tonight, but I'm not. I have to go to work today at 3PM, and even if I go to bed in a minute, I'll only get a few hours of sleep since I came to visit my parents yesterday on my day off, and I have to drive 80 miles back to my college town to work.

My second day of work was just cruel. They put this CUTE guy with me for most of the night, and I was distracted by him the whole time so I probably didn't learn anything I needed to. When a cute guy actually talks to me and stays in the same room with me, it's all over. I'm in love. Well, not really, of course, but I have a stupid crush now. Fuck! I hate that!

I like to read but i know that i shouldn't be doing it this late however i just know if i try to go sleep it won't work. I need something to keep my mind occupied. Lying in bed staring at the ceiling will only give me time to think about things and that is where most of my troubles start.

I'm so used to being up because I worked the nightshift the past 2 nights. I have to attend some oil spill coordination training Wednesday morning, so I'm going to be up all night and all day today so I can sleep tonight.
