I just ordered from Domino's online for the first time and I'll see how it goes.

I've done pizza hut online.

Works fairly well.

I have heard of this. I'm going to have to give it a try sometime. My problem is everytime I want to order I either go to the place or I call because I forget about doing it online.

I've ordered Papa John's onine a few times. Works pretty well actually.

Yeah, here's a funny story: I ordered from Papa John's online before.

And the funny part? The Papa John's was right next door to my apartment complex. Bwahahaha.

Despite this, however, it still took a good 45 minutes for the pizza to be delivered. :shifty:

My buddy used to order Pizza Pizza on line all the time, like 3 times a week.
He did that for a few years and only ever had a problem once.

No, but I do online order for Subway all the time.

Whenever we throw a party at my friends house, we do that. She'll order well in advance and then it'll be there when we arrive.

All the time. It's the only way I'll order now.

If they ever fuck up the order, I have proof when my receipt prints off. I can also include comments like "Please don't forget the dips." or "last time you took 45 minutes, please arrive earlier.". I'm an asshole :(

Never tried it online. I'm still doing it the old fashioned way, calling.

No, but I've ordered from Swiss Chalet online many times.

Well, the first it worked and I paid with a credit card. Even though it said "No checks" the delivery guy said they still take them. Next time I'll pay by check next time.

Don't ever order from Papa Johns online because it takes forever. I did it once and it 2 1/2 hours before I got it and it was cold.

Did this tonight for the first time from Papa John's. No problem, my pizza was perfect and delivered in a timely manner.

I only buy pizza from privately owned "mom and pop" pizza shops so its not even an option. I always pick up anyway though.

There are no mom and pop pizza shops left around here (if there are, I simply can't find them). That's how I always used to eat pizza, except when I went to CiCi's Pizza.

I would order online, but I live out in BFE and I haven't found a place that delivers this far.

Yes, this is the only way to go if you can. But not everywhere has mom and pop pizzarias.

I think places like pizza hut, dominos, papa johns, etc....theyre pizza usually really sucks. Though I will say, if I'm around a pizza hut around 11 AM, I'll usually go in for the lunch buffet, cause Im a pizza fanatic, its my favorite food.

In my area in philly, I can literally think of 10 pizzarias in walking distance from me. And all around the city I see pizza shops. Some of the pizzarias specialize in different things. For instance, the pizza shop closest to me has my favorite cheesesteaks, but their pizza sucks balls, but theres another pizza shop a 45 second walk away with my favorite pizza in the city, but their stromboli sucks, etc. etc. etc. I've definitely been known to order a stromboli from one spot and a pizza from another spot haha.

Another thing about the chain pizza stores, is their prices. WAY WAY WAY too expensive. One place I order from, one of the everyday specials I usually get when I order is 2 large pizzas with one topping on each and a cheesesteak or a hoagie for 14.99. And I been seeing these commercials for pizza hut making a big deal out of medium pizzas for 5 bucks. And you have to buy 3 of them to get the deal at that....haha, I been buying medium pizzas for 5 bucks since I was 10 years old!

In the end though, the best pizza I ever had is my home made pizza.

I'm definitely a pizza carnosaur...I can easily eat a whole large pizza by myself, and even a extra few slices. I just can't fathom some of the prices these chain stores charge. I say if you live in an area where you don't have mom and pop pizzarias, then just make your own.
ADDED:
That's how I always used to eat pizza, except when I went to CiCi's Pizza.

When I first seen a CiCi's commercial, I almost popped a boner at the cheap prices for their buffet, but I checked and theres no locations in Philly yet. And when I asked a few friends of mine that lived out of state how the pizza is, they said it royally blows...I gotta try for myself if they open one up here.

My Mom ordered Pizza for me last night, and I'm at college. Rock on Mom!

My mams did that for me too back in the day. :shy:

I wouldn't go so far as to say that CiCi's "blows," but I've never been their biggest fan. You can't beat the price, but I've found the quality to be spotty at best. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's awful. They do have a flavor of pizza that just has cheese (with no sauce) that I always liked.

When it comes to pizza, I usually stay away from the national chains (except for Papa John's). We have a lot of great mom and pop places around here.

You get what you pay for, and CiCi's is good for the price.

The best reason to go to CiCi's is their BBQ pizza. Oh my God, that stuff is awesome. The rest of the pizza is only so-so, but when we go in an order the buffet, we always ask them to cook a BBQ pizza and bring it to our table.

I don't think we have pizza places that offer online services here. But I do order McDonald's online every now and then...never really had a problem with it.

There are no "local joints" around here. All chain joints that mostly deliver. I would love if they had a local joint in our dinky town.

There are a few here in Omaha, but they're located way to hell and gone. Well, if you don't count Valentino's since it did originate in Nebraska and I live near one. Same with Godfather's. I've never had issues with places like Pizza Hut or Papa Johns, though I eat Pizza Hut far more often. The only time I wasn't thrilled with their pizzas were the few times here and there that they came out burnt. But then that kind of shit happens from time to time with any food. CiCi's is not bad, but I agree it's not the best.

We've got a small chain (2 places) in the area where you can order online, works quite well. They've got some pretty good pizza's too.

You got alot of assholes in the world, and you can be the most patient and polite person in the world, and have someone spit in your food for no good reason but for their own personal amusement.

But hey, what would be REALLY scary is to do the Home Alone, "Angels with filthy souls" routine, and then have the nerve to order from the same place ... again.

As people in our country aren't fat enough.:side: I know some Quizno's locations do deliveries. Probably to compete with Jimmy Johns and Erberts and Gerberts.

I love ordering food online for delivery. I always hated having to call in my order. I have a huge phone phobia, and I am always afraid I'm going to sound stupid and get laughed at. Doing it online is a real life-saver in a way. I've never had a problem with it so far.

I always order from either Papa John's or Domino's. I've never been too wild about Pizza Hut. There is something about their sauce that I don't like.

We've got a couple mom and pop pizza joints around here, and we've tried them, but wasn't too impressed. One place called Valentino's had really good brownies though, but their pizza wasn't that great, and they only had one delivery person, so if that guy was out sick, you couldn't get your food delivered.

There was another place called Lemmy's, that Tony and I nicknamed Lemmywinks's Pizza after the gerbil from southpark. This place has terrible pizza. It pretty much tastes like the pizza had been in Mr. Slave's ass.

Dominos has a neat pizza tracker on their website. It tells you when your pizza is being prepared, baked, boxed, and on the way out for delivery.

Jason's Storm
06-28-2009, 07:27 PM
Even tells you the name of the delivery driver, so then you know if you should ask them if you can see their box, for some pie. :p

I wish I would have used that feature the other day. I at least had the foresight to not answer in my boxers. Good thing I put clothes on, I had graduated with the girl. I wound up talking in the driveway for 20 minutes about how all our old classmates are buttheads.
