It seems like everywhere I go, there's nothing but bad reviews about it. I hold my DVD close...While, no, it's not great, I think it's a solid slasher. Yes, some people are killed before you truly know them. But I thought the whole twin thing was cool. Plus the freddy-bear.

I've read a lot of bad reviews for this one, but the few positive reviews make me curious about this film. I know a place that has it, so maybe I'll check it out this week.

I hated Girls Nite Out. I was rather bored. Killer in a bear costume is simply a brilliant idea, but yeah I thought the movie sucked.

I have never heard of this. I'm going to have to keep a look out for it.
The killer bear's knife claws have always reminded me of Freddy's claws. hmmm...

Girls Nite Out -1982
A Nightmare On Elm Street - 1984
'Hmmm' is right! I'd say Mr. Craven has something called, inspiration! :)
A fun bit of Girls Nite Out trivia - Two of the writers have gone on to gain popularity in the Columbus, Ohio area as lawyers. Kevin Kurgis is especially well-known for his intensity in his commercials, some describe it as his "choke a bitch out" style. One of the commercials is on his website (http://www.kevinkurgis.com/), another at the beginning of this parody video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbJWoYE4mFE).
I'm really hoping that we'll someday have a Columbus screening of GNO with the writers in attendance.

I'm a die-hard fan of 80s slashers and I had a tough time with this one. It dragged a lot and lots of the dialogue scenes are drowned out by the music on the soundtrack.
But I'll have to give it another chance sometime (only watched it once)...
I never thought that this was that great, but I only watched it once. I do remember that there is some type of twist at the end, but I couldn't tell you what it was. Perhaps i should dig out the old dvd and give it another chance.

I love this movie. It's not very gory, but it doesn't need to be. It's creepy as shit.
