Part III.
Everyone was likable and every character seemed to be average people.

I voted for Jason Live. Tommy and Megan are my favorite two characters in the whole series.

Part III may be my favorite, but the original just has the illest cast of characters.

Part 2. They seemed to gel better in my opinion.

I went with the Final Chapter cast. You got to love the Tommy Jarvis character and the Crispin "Dead Fuck" Glover.
Take care and God bless.

I went with the original.

I voted for Part 4 because Jimbo and Teddy made that movie for me.

The first... it's just perfect and not over the top. Real people!
Part 2 and 4 were also very good. Altough the charachters in 5 weren't fleshed out enoug.
3 well.. good.. but I never really cared for anyone of them.
Altough the charachters in 5 weren't fleshed out enough, there are some classic moments in that one.

TFC. Jimbo, Tommy and Doug. I love those characters.
It was kind of tough to decide though.

I'm split between TFC and Part 2. I'll go with TFC though since I like it more at the moment.

I think the cast of part 2 worked really well together. Also, from what I've read and heard, they got along great off screen as well.

I had to go with TFC cast..we had solid characters (corey feldman and george mcfly) not cheesey characters who arent just a body count

I voted for Jason Lives, most of them were pretty likeable and better-developed and acted than most of the other casts. Part 2's cast was good too.

I say Part III.

Same here!
I really liked the chemistry between the cast of 2. Ginny was my favorite heroine (along with Laurie Strode) in any horror film.

Part 2. They seemed to gel better in my opinion.
I agree. And they were very likable . . . a good, fun, down-to-Earth cast of characters. I actually find myself wanting to hang out with them in the scenes around the campfire, in the lodge and at the bar. Ya know?

Part 3 would be my 2nd choice.

Part 4
One word: Jimbo
Kane Lives

Part 2 and TFC.

I went along with the cast of Part 2 A great cast of guys and gals who seemed to get along quite nicely. In some of the later flicks, with the exception of Jason Lives, it just seemed that they threw together a group of people who just didn't seem to belong together just to create conflict before Jason/Rob/Pamela did the poor bastards in.

I think it sorta felt that way in JL as well. For the most part the cast, aside from 4-5 people TOPS were disposable roles.
The last F13th where ever cast member (for the msot part) part mattered and were a huge part of the movie was either Part III of IV and maybe V (aside from a few people).
For the most part the cast, aside from 4-5 people TOPS were disposable roles.
That is what they were meant to be because...well...they were disposed.
Am I the only one who really does not like Jimbo or his dumb dance?

I agree, they were supposed to be jsut that and I can handle that 1, 2 or 3 times not 5-6 times like some of the latter movies. They were way too focused on upping a body count in some of them.
In Jason Lives I'd say 6 deaths could have easily been removed, Part 7 probably about the same.
As as mucha s I love Crispin (he's my favorite actor) his movies, his writing, his CD and art, I thought he was annoying in TFC and his dance was just ridiculous (in a bad way).

I went with the original cast. All the other movies have at least one person in the cast I don't like:
Part 2 - Ted
Part 3 - Rick
Part 4 - Rob
Part 5 - a lot of the more disposable characters
Part 6 - most of the cast
Part 7 - some of the disposable characters
Part 8 - all the characters save for Miss Vandoosen
Part 9 - Most of them
Part 10 - All of them
FvsJ - most of them

The only F13 with disposable characters that I can handle is Part V.
I mean, sure, there's the whole Drifter thing, which could have been removed. But I liked it. Anita was soooo just there for the bodycount. Probably Demon too, but they made an effort with him. Lana, Pete, Vinnie, and Billy seemed kind of disposable too, but the difference between them and the couple form Part VII, the motorcycle couple form VI, and tons of people onward, was that Danny gave what the characters needed. You got to know them. I mean, we met Billy at the beginning. Lana had a stretched part, which means she wasn't simply trash...aside from "Showtime!"...Pete and Vinnie were there to show that a killer is on the loose again! "Oh no!"...So, that's why I liked Part V's useless characters, because in the end, they weren't so useless. :)

Part V's disposable characters were actually viable- the vagrant was a red herring, the nurse brought Tommy in, Lana showed her boobs, the greasers sort of established the scene with the sheriff and Roy the "you talking to me?" scene.
But, yeah any of them aside from the vagrant and the nurse, could have been removed and not missed.

The cast from The Final Chapter. I liked most of 'em, especially Jimbo. I think he & I would get along great. We'd dance the crazy dance & get all of the ladies at the clubs.

The first one. The cast adds a lot of charm to the film. I love Annie(such a sweet girl to die so horribly), the truckdriver, the watress at the cafe, the sherriff, ralph the crazy guy. The cast in the first movie, the atmoshphere, and Tom Savini's special effects work are the reasons why the first one is one of my favorite's in the series.
