Just got done with a little bit of surfing and found this little diddy online that I knew nothing about. I knew that the designers of Smash Bros. had helped Ubisoft develope a new TMNT fighting style type game called TMNT Smash Up, but I had no idea they were also developing a remake to the most popular TMNT arcade game of all time.

Video of the game can be found here. (http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/25409)

Quite frankly, I think it looks amazing and I can't wait to try this one out. Word is that it's due out in late July. It looks 100 million times better than Smash Up, so I think I'll be purchasing this instead of something that.

That looks pretty damn awesome.

I have very fond memories of playing the original Turtles in Time with my friends when we were kids. :)

I'm actually very impressed with the new look of Metalhead. I can't wait to see how they've vamped up Baxter Stockman too and a few of the other characters that were prone to old-school TMNT. It's going to be very interesting battling Super Shredder as well in the final level. I just wonder if it's going to look like old-school Shredder or new school.

Something tells me that the part where you throw the Foot Ninja into Shredder's bot will be old school, but then when he transforms he'll mutate into a shredder more common with the newer cartoon.

Was Turtles In Time the one that was out in the arcade and part 2 on NES?

If so....I spent a whole lotta quarters playing that when I was young and spend even more hours playing it when I got it on NES.

I still like the first one on NES. Alot of people seemed to hate it but I thoroughly enjoyed that shit.

Turtles in Time was considered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 (it was released after The Manhattan Project on NES) and was the first game on the SNES.

Dude thats sweet. I used to love this game! What system will it be for.

I haven't been able to find much on it so far. I'm going to guess all major platforms. It was on 360.

That is... unless it's an XBox Release only...

Which is very highly unlikely

It looks pretty sweet. From the looks, they are updating the looks so as to match up with the TMNT movie. Even though most of the characters weren't in the movie. I wonder what Baxter the Fly will look like and if Bebop and Rocksteady will be in it.

As of right now it's only for XBLA. It'll be available for purchase on August 5th instead of late July. Info from here (http://www.onelifegamer.com/2009/07/tmntq-turtles-in-time-re-shelled.html)

Sorry folks. It always seems like these announcements come when we are just weeks away. TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-shelled will be available on XBLA August 5th, instead of the original release date of July 22nd.

Okay, so only 2 weeks, but still, that's a long wait for us gamers! Still no release date yet for PSN.

Tokka and Rahzar look amazing. It's nice to see them get a modern make over. I can't find any concept art of Bebop or Rocksteady yet.

That's bullshit, it should be available for all platforms.

That's bullshit, it should be available for all platforms.

It will be, it's just a timed exclusive. The folks at Microsoft payed a little more than Sony or Nintendo, so they get it a little sooner. Something similar happened with Ghostbusters: The Video Game in Europe: Sony got a timed exclusive deal to release it on the PS3 quite a while before the 360 gets it.

Yeah then sony made a cock up because Ghostbusters was region free so many imported it, like I did, got 33 out of 50 achievements so far

Sony didn't cock it up, Microsoft simply worked out a way to undercut the nature of the exclusive without breaking street date. All's fair in the Console War, I guess.

I have the original and love it. But there's just something about the graphics on this remake. They're really choppy and it looks like a really bad attempt at cel shading.

So... coming from the official site, it seems Ubisoft dropped the game price from $15 to $10. TOTALLY PICKING THIS UP NOW!!!!

The IGN review gave it very poor marks. A 5.5 or something along those lines.

I have to wait another week, but this should be mine on XBOX Live very, very soon.

I wish / hope they release a disc version of this (hell include the other TMNT arcade game as well). Not having XBL sucks!

You don't need to have the gold membership in order to download it. All you need to do it just connect to Martketplace and purchase the game.

It's the top selling and ranking game as far as consumers are concerned on Xbox live. As I went to download it... I got the damn E74 Harddrive crash. I have to send my console in to Xbox for repairs. Fuck a duck.

You need high speed internet to download it, and that I do not have....
