Looks like I'm finally going to get my chance to see Hot Fuzz. The latest film from Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg is set to release in the United States on July 31st.
Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Fuzz-Widescreen-Jim-Broadbent/dp/B000RJO578/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-3578695-9773239?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1185475778&sr=8-1) has it on pre-order for $16.99. There's no word on Amazon's page about what special features can be expected on the disc.

Bring the noise.
This is one of the best movies I've seen in theaters all year. The last 45 minutes or so are an absolute riot.
Jeans, have you ever seen Spaced? I heard it was on the BBC America station earlier this summer, but I never watched it.

I've seen Spaced from beginning to end. I loved it. It's a shame that their film career killed the chances of a third series, but both of their films thus far have been received very well, so at least it's not all bad news.
You should hunt down Spaced. It's a pretty good series, but rights issues have assured it won't be coming out on DVD in America any time soon. You can buy it in region 2 on Amazon.co.uk, or if you look hard enough you can find a region-free, NTSC version floating around for a pretty reasonable price.
I just wish they'd officially release it in the states. :shifty: I hate all the cloak-n-dagger nonsense.

Shit, I had no idea that this had so many rights issues. I didn't watch it on BBC America because I figured a DVD release would happen sooner or later.

BBC America was lucky to even show it. It took them several years to work through the red tape. I'm not even sure they showed series 2, although they might have.
But yeah, the DVD rights are so tangled up in red tape we'll be lucky if it ever sees release here. It's due to all the films it parodies and the amount of music that's in the show, which they didn't work into international DVD release agreements when they were making the show. Apparently, they'd have to strip nearly the entire soundtrack and replace the songs with generic music, which would pretty much kill what made the show special.

Words can't describe how much I hate this movie but I might give it a try. Maybe I just dont like British humor, but aside from a few (and I stress the word "few") stand out moments, but this movie was way to cute for it's own damn good.
The transitions on speed got old after the tenth time they used it, every single character was an idiot and pissed me off to no end, except for the lead, I really felt his pain but it wasnt enough to get me to like this piece of crap.
What a waste of my time and money.

I'm pretty sure BBC America showed the second series too. I have both series on DVD but I have to watch them in a hacked player which is a pain. Worth it though because it was a great show.
Bought this Tuesday as soon as I could, I'd been waiting for it forever. Loved it. I need to watch it again though because their stuff just gets better with repeat viewings.
I was very pissed off though when I went to get this. Wal-Mart had a two pack of this with an exclusive disc of bonus features but it was only with the fullscreen version, so I had to get less features basically because I prefer Widescreen.

I've got the HD-DVD of this (and Shaun of the Dead) sitting at my house waiting for me when I get back from vacation.

I thought the final shoot-out extravaganza was a bit lacking what with having just about everyone live; I was hoping they'd mercilessly slay all the old townies before getting to Dalton. Still, a fast funny ride.

Imported the UK version when it came out...the US version isnt worth it. The US tour is funny, but not worth buying
I love this movie.
I'm not disappointed with Nick Angel not killing everyone though, it would not be in keeping with his character.
Even when he does snap and go Rambo he still has respect for the law.

I guess I need the UK version. There's nothing like watching a commentary where they refer to another commentary that you can't listen to.

There is a three disc edition of this flick coming out this month, and it includes 5 commentaries so I suppose it will all be there. I would get it first day if I had any money, but I really don't.

Movie was alright-enjoyable. Best part was when Nick tried to jump the fence after seeing Simon's acrobatics. He had a retard giddy look on his face and started to run like his pants were full of shit then plowed into the fence. I still laugh about that months later.
