Me and my friend love watching this show.....when it was on TV and the DVD's. Callisto, Velasca, Gabrielle, Alti.....all such great characters. And Xena of course. Oh yea...and Ares....couldn't forget Kevin Smith... :D
Doesn't look too good concerning the Xena movie though....Rob Tapert is trying to get Universal to make one but, they are stubborn.
F*ckin' idiots.
Anyone else like Xena? :)

I love this show! The whole story arc with Callisto was one of the best on TV. Period. When they first introduced her, I said, "They could do a lot with that character if they wanted to." Well, apparently they wanted to. And the way her story tied in with Velasca's? That's top-notch entertainment, my friend.
I always get pissed when Buffy fans claim that show was the first to do a musical episode. Um, no! And Sarah M. Gellar can't sing. Lucy can! So can Ted Raimi, surprisingly enough.
What's this about a Xena movie? I didn't know Rob wanted to do one. Do you know any details???
I loved Xena, it used to be one of my favorite shows. :D

I love this show. I was actually watching it this morning on the Oxygen channel for the first time in a long time. Definitely agree about the show's characters, they're all unique and interesting in their own ways. Probably one of my most watched shows growing up as a kid, along with Hercules.
I love the character Joxer. :D
I liked this show and Herc as well.

I love the character Joxer
Me too! I think Ted Raimi is adorable. It used to make me mad when people bashed him on the Xena message boards. Bah! This morning Oxygen showed the episode where he becomes a smooth cool guy every time a bell rings. Hilarious!

I love the Show! My fav on Xena have to be Joxer and Ares. Joxer was funny as hell and Ares was funny as Big bad God of War.
NETRA i use to post on a messsage board for Xena and i got mad because the message board was for every fan but if someone liked Joxer but they hated Gabby they would bitch them out.

I liked Joxer AND Gabby. :) But, yeah, poor Joxer got a lot of trashing on boards. It made me mad. Even Lawless brought it up in an interview. She said it is an insult to fine actor like Ted Raimi. At least he was able to sing! (Gabby had to be dubbed for the musical episode.)
Now what about this movie talk? I can't find any good info. Does anybody know what this is about???

SWEET! Xena on Blu-ray!
Blu-ray.com:
Legendary Heroes has revealed that they have begun taking pre-orders for 'Highlander: Season 1', which is due to be released on February 15th. The set will include all 22 episodes from the first season, and the first 1000 who placed an order for the set (which will only be available through Legendary Heroes) also get a Duncan Katana Mini-Sword.
Additionally, sources have indicated that 'Xena: Warrior Princess - Season 1' is also right around the corner, though no further details have been revealed.
Now if Universal would just make a TV Movie like Rob Tapert is wanting to do....all would be right in the world. :)
From Sci-Fi Wire:

Creators Would Love A Xena Reunion
Rob Tapert, former producer of TV's Xena: Warrior Princess, told SCI FI Wire that pretty much everyone involved in the old show would love to see Xena (Lucy Lawless) pick up her chakram once again for a TV movie or some other kind of reunion project.
Tapert said he even had an idea in mind, but that matters are entirely out of his hands.
"That's a Universal question," Tapert said in an interview, adding: "Meaning [NBC] Universal ... Television [Group]. I don't control the strings."
Xena ran from 1995-2001 and starred Lawless--aka Mrs. Rob Tapert--as the title heroine and Renee O'Connor as her plucky sidekick, Gabrielle. The show was both a mainstream and a cult success during its time on the air, and to this day its stars and makers attend conventions worldwide.
Unfortunately, fans' hopes for a reunion movie have yet to be realized. "We said long ago that we'd love to do something," Tapert said. "We have a fun, 300-style idea for it. ... I can't answer [why nothing's happening]." (NBC Universal Television is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.) --Ian Spelling

Yea us too francesco. But unfortunately (about the Blu-ray's), Xena isn't coming to Blu-ray at this time. Their "source" was wrong....as usual.
I would like to see a television movie with Hercules, Eolus, Xena, Colesto, Ares, Joxer, Gab, Aphrodite, Salmoneous, Atolacus, and all the great characters of those programs. The actor who played Ares passed away sadly. He was a great Ares.

From DVDActive and TVShowsOnDVD:
Universal Home Video has announced plans to re-release Xena: Warrior Princess - Season 1 and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - Season 1 on DVD April 20th. Each will retail at $26.98. The episodes will be presented in full frame, along with English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo tracks. As far as we know, no extra material will be included on either release - but we'll let you know if that changes. Stay tuned.
How awesome is this news!!! Hell yea! Undoubtedly because of Clash of the Titans. Maybe this will wake Universal up and peek their interests in finally getting a movie version off the ground.
I can't wait for those Herc and Xena re-releases!
Iolis, Hercule's sidekick, was always my favorite character in Hercules. Hercules was great because he battled all the awesome characters. He also battled the gods like Ares and Haddes.
Calisto was always my favorite character in the Xena series. She wasn't only hot, but her character was very complex, well written, and sympathetic. Xena burned her village down, as she watched when she was a little girl, only to have Xena kill her in quick sand in Season 2. Then she came back in Xena's dreams with Ares' help and as an immortal, then a godess, then she was eventuallyreincarnated into the soul of Livia/Eve, Xena's daughter. I think the Calisto story arc was a good one. I also like seeing how Gabriel grew as a character from a scared little girl who couldn't hurt a fly to an amazon princess to an all out warrior.
