I think this could be a thread for the most romantic song ever, but it would be hard for me to choose just one really, there is one recent song in particular that I stuggle to listen to when I hear it, and thats Broken Strings by James Morrison, it reminds me so much of a girl I really like and when im not with her physically and I hear it, I find it upsetting for some reason

Both beautiful songs.

This one isn't to the standard of the ones above but i think that it is an amazing song.

Even though it is about a loser in love, i still think that it is beautiful.

DCT have an endless repertoire of amazing romantic songs, but this is one of the quintessential ones, and in English, which probably helps for most people.

It's a song about a broken relationship. Getting back together may be "against all odds", but it's worth a shot.

Beautiful: Pyroxene of the Heart, by Motoi Sakuraba -- Some songs just move me. This is one of them. First time I heard it, I was moved to tears.

7o7hWL8-lCY

Romantic: 1,000 Words, performed by Jade -- I'm a real sucker for this song. Dunno why. It's terribly sappy. Probably moves me because it puts me in mind of someone. There are two versions -- a pop version and an orchestral version -- of which I'm posting the latter. There's no specific reason for this, apart from it being the one that moves me most when I'm in the right (wrong) mood.

I want Life is Beautiful by Sixx A.M. to be played at my funeral. Also, Mad World by Gary Jules.

I consider Cry, Cry, Cry by Cash a very mean and cold song, not at all romantic or beautiful.

However, I should add this song on the subject of country legends-- I Can't Help It by Hank Williams (with Anita Carter)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNt_BB-oQK0 (embedding disabled)

This can be considered beautiful, but it's sort of cold.

My fiance and I are still getting all the plans hammered out, but we've been looking at songs to have played and/or sung in the wedding. We don't want the typical sappy stuff. We both love rock and hair band stuff so we've been thinking of...

"Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse
"Forever" by KISS
"Where You Are" by Gavin DeGraw (not a hair band, but it's 'our' song)

We're still thinking of others. Suggestions?

I bought my ex a Valentine's Day present and played this song while I gave it to her and it was truly one of THE romantic experiences ever in my life. We looked into each other eyes and held hands and put our foreheads together and just enjoyed the song. :shy:

Now everytime I hear the song a teensy smeensy part of me cries on the inside:sniffle:

Most romantic song for me is Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.

Most beautiful song for me is the Ood Freedom Song. I cry every time I hear it, because it's such a beautiful melody and it really seems to speak to your soul.

I will vote on this song. I have always loved it, but for the past while I have been dating Casey Niccoli, who stars in the video and who this song is about. Gave me a whole new perspective on the song.

IMO, one of the most beautiful piece of music ever written. Of course the original was done my Miles Davis, but Buckethead put his own touch on it. I actually prefer his version over the original. It's such an emotive piece, and doesn't need any words. The music does the speaking.

Dude! Ever since I became a KISS fan, I've wanted "Forever" to be played at my wedding (if I ever get married that is). Awesome choice!

Here are some other suggestions:

"Love Song" by Tesla:

While this isn't an 80s hair metal song, I've always loved 311's version of the Cure's "Love Song"

Another song wouldn't mind getting married to is either I want you around or I wanna be your boyfriend both by the Ramones as they sound really nice. Nothing else Matters by Metallica is also my other choice for a song to fall in love to.

You had the blue note sapphire eyes, to back up all those gazes
To pierce my guard and to take my soul off to faraway places
Told me I'll never be alone, cos you're right there

We took a gamble with this love, like sailing to the storm
With the waves rushing over to take us, we were battling against the tide
You were my beacon of salvation, I was your starlight

So don't cry for your love, cry tears of joy
Cos you're alive, cradled in love
Don't cry for your love, cry tears of joy
Cos you're alive, cradled in love

I kept the love you gave me alive, and now I carry it with me
I know it's just a tear drop from mother earth, but in it I can hear a dolphin sing
Telling me I'll never be alone, I know you're right there

So with the fire still burning bright, I wanna gaze into your light
If I could see my fortune there, you know how flames can hypnotize
Do I even dare to speak out your name for fear it sounds like, like a lover

So don't cry for your love, cry tears of joy
Cos you're alive, cradled in love
Don't cry for your love, cry tears of joy
Cos you're alive ,cradled in love
