1969 YENKO 427 Nova

Although GM put factory 427s in Camaro’s and Chevelles, it is known that the GM factory apparently would not put a COPO 427 motor in a Nova. Why not? The most obvious reason would be just as Don Yenko describes himself; using the word “lethal”, and a matter of liability. The body weight of the Nova was less than that of a Corvette. Stuffing a high performance L72 427 Corvette motor in a car of less body weight certainly had to result in tire-smoking performance. The Yenko Nova has turned elapsed times of 10.80's in the quarter mile and does 0-60mph in an amazing 4 seconds flat, and this is all stock factory specs. The 427 in the Yenko Nova is said to have produced 375 horsepower, but recently it has been tested again using modern equipment. The official number is now 475 horsepower. The Yenko 427 Nova is the fastest Chevy ever built.

1969 Hemi Dodge Charger Daytona

Built specifically for Nascar racing, the 1969 Daytona was a modified version of the Dodge Charger 500. It was the first car to exceed 200mph in a Nascar race. The rear wing was designed to keep the car on the ground at high speeds. The HEMI Daytona could reach speeds of 217mph and it was rated at 425 horsepower.

The guy who used to own BMEZINE.COM had a Delorean. He would have yearly bbqs open to the public (well his website community mainly) and being able to touch his Delorean was freaking awesome. He also had a Manata Mirage.

My favorite of all time is the 1970 AMC Javelin SST... absolute pefection in styling imho. The AMC V-8s were a bit lacking in power compared to the big 3, but there's a ton of aftermarket to cure that.

First off, my first vehicle I ever owned (dating back to my High School years) was a 1972 Chevy pickup. It had a 350 engine, completely rebuilt from the block up, jet black with slotted mag rims, restored to look like the truck used by Cole Hauser Dazed & Confused.

(Screencap of the film below to give an accurate image of what it looked like.)

http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4666/4822/24164910944_large.jpg

Sadly, it met an unfortunate end in October 2000, as I swerved to miss hitting a deer head on and hit a telephone pole at 45mph in a dead stop. The truck was totaled out and it depressed me for months. I miss that old Beast. :sniffle:

Secondly, as per my childhood, I dreamed of owning an early 80's-era Pontiac Trans-Am, as it was the main vehicle used on the show Knight Rider.

1966 Ford Mustang. I want that specific color, too. Someone down the street had that color '67 Mustang and would drive me to school in it.

2003 Mustang. Hey, I just happen to like Mustangs.

Well, first off my first car was a 1981 Chevrolet El Camino, which I had to sell a few months ago. I miss it terribly.

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd15/GunsRising/My1981ElCamino.jpg
Yes that's a pic of my (former) 1981 El Camino.

Also on my list of faves tho, would be: 1982 DeLorean DMC-12, 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, 1966 Ford Mustang (pref. convertible), 1967 Shelby Mustang, 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. For various reasons mostly childhood aspirations. I had a '67 Camaro poster on my wall as a kid. Pinned up DeLoreans on my walls -- got to touch and inspect one in real life a couple of years ago, that was enough to satisfy this Back To the Future fan for a little while. I still would love to own a DeLorean though. And the two Mustangs? I've fallen in love with Mustangs over the years so I've gotta put them on here.

Wow... talk about the wrong way to go for larger tires

Speaking of the bizzare, this car used to cruise around where I went to college. I actually had my camera with me one day when I saw it so I snapped some pics.

Wow, now that's a car! I like those new looking F150s in the backround. So this picture can't be more than 4 years old!

Jeep

1) Has been around since 1940's, and still looks almost the same today
2) Driving around with the top down in the summer is unbeatable
3) Great Jeep community, owners wave to one another. Complete strangers will come up and ask you about your Jeep
4) Can pretty much go anywhere
5) An American Icon, represents adventure, toughness, tradition etc.

If I could afford a sports car it would have to a Dodge Viper Venom. As far as classic cars go, I've always liked the 73 Olds Toronado. My wife and I both drive Subaru Foresters, and she'd buy a brand new one if we had the cash. For me, I'd actually like a Jeep.

Oh yeah. They're one of the best & most recognizable trucks ever. I definitly miss my old '72 sometimes.

That reminds me of a car I keep seeing in my hometown. It's an 81 Chevy Malibu wagon with a Blazer 4x4 Frame mounted underneath. Next time I have my camera on me when I see this car again, I'll take a photo of it.

Good year and badass truck indeed, Scabs... But Jeff's truck was a Cheyenne, not a Blazer. :p
