I wanted to thank you all for migrating into this thread. It's appreciated. If y'all want to play person above/person below amongst yourselves in here, that's fine. In here it doesn't matter if it's just a handful of folks, and the benefit is that you can veer off into just straight conversation if you want to. It was never our intention to keep y'all from playing or interacting with each other, we just felt like things were devolving into, essentially, a chat.

I used to be a bit suicidal myself about 2 years ago. I never attempted to do it, but I know if I had a gun back then I would have killed myself at a certain point. And for what? I'm gonna die anyway, so I might as well wait till then. Good times always come around eventually, even when you think your world has come crumbling down. You only live once and gotta try to make the best of it and not stress out over anything.

I think I would have jumped if she hadn't walked by, as I am distracted pretty easy when it comes to things like that. Life is too short and I can't be bothered with killing myself and fucking up other people's lives by doing it.

Sometimes. I have to get up and moving when I feel agitated. I found hobbies help clear the anger fog, and good old exercise helps. Surprisingly, fresh air and sunshine gets my mood on track the quickest.

For those of you that speak English as a second language, how'd you learn? I've got like 5 years of formal education in Spanish and I doubt I'd be as fluent as y'all seem to be...of course I don't get much practice, but I was just wondering. Was it difficult to learn?

Blake: I started learning English when I was 6 y.o. so...I just knew that I'd be okay as long as I "kept in touch" with it, you know? I really don't like Spanish though...never cared about learning it. Hey....you do realize I'm gonna come up with a nick for you too, right?? Any ideas? :)

I work with people with all types of sleep disorders.

Sleep Apnea, Night Terrors, Sleep Walking, things like that, you name it, I bet I've worked with somebody who's had it.

We run diagnostic sleep studies, so we can see how their particular disorder bothers their sleep. We also do treatment studies for the folks with sleep apnea. The lab I'm at now, we work with kids also, which is different for me, since I'm used to adults, but it's a fun challenge.
