Now, the reason I make this thread is because I've had several people interested in the movie and it recently went out of print to oddly reappear for release next Tuesday. I did some digging with the wonderful rep at Severin and this was the response I got:
"Here is your answer, Brett.
MALABIMBA X rated was withdrawn from distribution by Ryko due to content. They now no longer distribute product with any XXX material and many of the retailers now have the same policy, including Amazon. We still supply direct to some online retailers such as TLA Video and Diabolik DVD so it is available if you search for it, but the soon to be released unrated version has had all of the XXX material taken out so will be more widely available."
So, those who have read my review know the porno shots were merely inserts and weren't intended to go along with the original movie. They add to the sleaze factor, but won't actually interrupt the actual film. However, if you still want the greasy version, you can pick them up from retailers Severin supplies directly to. Essentially, if you recall what Synapse did with Thriller: A Cruel Picture, it's the same thing here.
