Empire Strikes Back. There was ton loads of twists and action in that movie. Betrayal, Luke fighting Dark Vader, Han Solo getting frozen!!!

Star Wars 3... or Return of the Jedi (yes, 3. Lucas has to start playing by the same rules everyone else is).

Slave Leia owns anything else the other movies have to offer.

I voted Empire, as, not only is it the greatest SW movie, but it so happens to be the greatest film of all time, in my opinion.

But Leia's slave getup was nice. I'm not going to argue that.

I voted Empire as well. The original ESB action figures were the first MOC set I completed in my vintage collection.

That's pretty awesome. I've never collected vintage stuff, seeing as how the line ended when I was just over a year old, but I think it's cool when people complete a collection.

I also voted for Episode V. The battle of Hoth, Luke vs. Vader in the Cloud City Refinery, Han Solo's carbonite freezing, the introductions to Boba Fett and Yoda, the asteroid field chase, and Vader just being one pissy motherfucker choking every Imperical officer in sight just made this the darkest and most awesome Star Wars of them all.

None of them are bad, but I rate Episode I the lowest for Jar Jar Binks alone. Plus, Darth Maul was WAY too overhyped to die as pathetically as he did.

The vintage stuff is all I played with when I was little. I decided back in '98 to try and get a complete set of all the vintage figures on their original cardbacks in as good condition as I could find them. It took about 5 years to get them all.

See, I probably would have ended up being like that in a few years about the POTF2 figures that started back in '95, but I still have all of mine. And I never stopped collecting (save for a short period in high school). I'm an opener, though. At least I would be if I had any space left. I ran out of it back around 2002.

The Empire Strikes Back! (The Greatest film of all time in any genre, a perfect double bill with The Wrath of Khan)

Star Wars (I will never call it ANH. A fun and exciting adventure!)

Return of the Jedi (Sorry, OT before any others. Very underrated film, but could do without the Ewoks)

Revenge of the Sith (The absolute BEST of the PT, and a damn fine film in it's own right.)

Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones TIE (They may not be the best films within the context of this series, but they are entertaining nonetheless. Jar Jar will forever suck though, and that's not to follow fanboy gospel either.)

1.empire great movie and a sequel that tops the original and expands the whole universe,and more depth to the characters,and of course it also brought us yoda.(to bad the oscars didnt think frank oz should be noiminated for an acadamy in a supporting role because they said puppetering isnt a performance).

I picked Return of the Jedi. I'm a huge Luke fan despite how nerdy he is. It's good to see him garbed in all black with a new lightsaber. Ready to rock.

I'm 34 years old.. I grew up on these films.. I remember seeing Empire in the theaters in 1980... and Jedi in 83 and 85. I owned tons of the toys etc.

However, I never really saw why everyone thinks Empire is so much better than the others. Don't get me wrong.. Empire is great.. but I don't know. I do see the bar set so high in it. At the same time, while I agree Phantom is the weakest... I dont see it being all that bad a film... especially when compared to the shit that comes out today..lol. Being the weakest Star Wars movie isnt really a bad thing :)

Like George Lucas himself.. I kinda see them all as one movie anyway.

BUT if I had to rank...

I think Empire is popular because Darth Vader is in his prime in that movie. And I'm making an assumption that it's popular because the kids of the 80's were shocked at the movie's climax and it stuck with them.

The reason why it is popular is because it is a darker film, more mature and ends on a down note. They also like it because Lucas wasn't as involved during filming, which is why a lot of dialogue was redone.

Well, seeing that the poll says the BEST Star Wars film, I say that would have to be Empire. Although my favorite is Return of the Jedi. Nothing has top it in my eyes.

I think Jedi is better than Empire too.. but Empire overall is the most popular.

Sith is my favorite of the 6.
