So yeah, Drew Carey is the new host. I'm neither happy nor sad about the decision. Although I like him, I think they could have found someone better. I was actually excited when I heard that they were thinking about hiring Ian Ziering from "90210", but whatever. The show must go on.

I was hoping they wouldn't find anyone right away because Bob Barker offered to come back next fall for a limited time if they couldn't find a new host. Oh well....

I've never watched this show in my life, but I haven't seen Drew Carey do anything reasonable in a while, so good for him

I've got to support my fellow Clevelander Drew Carey! Good for him and good luck!

Not a bad choice I guess. He can interject some humor into the show.

I love Drew Carey. I used to adore his show, and I really liked Whose Line is it Anyway? (shame that show had to end), so I'm all for him hosting The Price is Right. He seems like a real people person, so he's got that in his favor.
It's definitely better than Rosie. :X

This doesn't bother me all that much. I did think it would be someone else however I will give Drew a chance. After all, I do love his show.

Random fact
The host of the UK version of The Price Is Right (Joe Pasquale) is a real life friend of mine

I'm all for this decision. I love Drew Carey. I lost track of his show after about season 5, but I did enjoy and still enjoy "Who's Line..." I wish they would bring that show back.

I'm all for this. The Drew Carey Show and the US version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? are both hillarious and awesome shows. It wouldn't have mattered to me who got it, as long as it wasn't Rosie. Fucking Michael Keaton could've hosted the thing and it wouldn't have mattered to me. But this is good news. Drew Carey has a fanbase and he's already proven to be a worth host from his Whose Line days, so Bob Barker's retirement doesn't sting as much as it did a couple of weeks back.

Justice against Rosie strikes again!!! :box:
Drew should be great as the host - he's pretty funny and he knows how to hold his own.

I have loved "The Price is Right" since I was a kid, so, not having Bob Barker as host will be weird.
They could have done a lot worse than Drew Carey (enter random Rosie Comment),
if Drew does well I hope he will stay on as host for an extended period.

Bob Barker gave his blessing to letting Drew Carey host the show, because he wouldn't of done it, had Bob not given his blessing.

Drew Carey hosting Price is Right doesn't sound too bad, I am happy with the choice. He seems like he would be fitting of that kind of thing.
I have a feeling this is gonna go over like a lead balloon. Don't get me wrong, I like Drew Carey, but not for the price is right.

The Price is Right
Who doesn't like this show (or at least some of it's games)? I always thought it was cool that they picked people from the audience (pre-planned or not) rather than something stupid like Millionare, Deal or No Deal, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. My cousin got on TPIR in the early 90's and won a piano, next time I have lot's of vacation time and head down to California, I am getting tickets.

I've always wanted to go on there. If i do ever get to go and get on I hope to play either Plinqo or the one where you punch a hole to win money.

I won't accept anything less than the Million Dollar Spectacular and Plinko.
I loved that show when I was a kid, my grandma & I used to watch it every day.
I refuse to watch it now that Drew Carey is the host.

Drew Carey is doing a pretty good job at host. He's no Bob Barker but television is fluid and roles change over time.
I love watching the old Price is Right stuff on youtube.

Yeah, I'd definitely say he's doing a pretty good job. Something I didn't know till the other day; Drew is 50! I thought he was late 30's, early 40's.
Drew is no Bob Barker, but he is pretty decent. I think he is one of the better choices they could have made. I love that mountain climber game, if I ever got on that show, that would be the game I'd want to play.

That is true, but there are certain days that I miss Bob.

I love this show. I don't watch it as much as I used to when I was younger, but it's still a fun gameshow. And of course was the subject of one of my favorite "Family Guy" bits.
Bob Barker: "Alright now, let's start the bidding. Jennifer? How much do you bid on the dinette set?"
Jennifer: "Uh...$675 Bob."
Bob Barker: "$675. Steven?"
Steven: "$780."
Bob Barker: "$780. Tammy?"
Tammy: "$781."
Steven (to Tammy): "Fuuuccckkk you!"
You really want to see someone say that when another contestent does that.
