Favorite Saw Movie

Mine is Saw II, IMO it's the best Horror movie of this era and one of my top ten favorite Horror movies of all-time. I never get tired of it. The first Saw would be second, while I absolutely loathe Saw III.

As far as I'm concerned you'll never beat the first, Saw II came close but didn't quite do it, and Saw III was sort of 50/50 on the good movie scale.

They're all great but the first is simply fantastic. WHilst the sequels are good HORROR films, the first has a thriller-aspect and an element of style and intelligence that raises it above many films, regardless of genre. Rather like Halloween, really.

The first was original and you felt for the characters,
In the sequels, I was Actually rooting for Jigsaw.

The first one is definitely the best, but I love all three of them. They are an awesome horror trilogy.

I'm no fan of any of them, but if forced to pick, I would choose the original. It's easily the smartest of the series, and Saw II very much ruined it for me. Saw III was a total atrocity.

The original is my favorite for the simple fact that it managed to take a place beside Silence of the Lambs and Se7en to become the definitive trinity of suspense thrillers, and no other film since those two landmarks has been able to stand with them.

Saw II is a very close second. I love sequels that go bigger and this film went big! Fun characters, gory traps and Donnie! Gotta love it.

Saw III and IV I enjoyed for different reasons, but not as much as the first two.

I think Saw I is by far the best. In fact I think the series tapers off considerably with each sequel.

I thought the first Saw was pretty decent. Saw III was mediocre but watchable. At this point in time, I don't really have any desire to see the rest of them.

I think the first one was really a cut above the other three. I like two and three about the same, but for different reasons, and part four was a notch below each of those, I guess. I wouldn't rank any of them anywhere near the top horror movies of all time, but it's a fun little series.
