I know there are people here that remember this show. I just purchased all three seasons along with Freaky Favorites on Ebay. Does anyone remember a specific episode that was their favorite?

I remember the episode where these people went on a vacation and started growing old because of the mirrors they had in the hotel. I don't remember to much after that but I do know it was a favorite of mine along with The Tale of the Phone Police.

I didn't know it was on BBC Kids. I don't know if I get that channel or not. I'm gonna have to check.

they play it in the morning, and they also play another good old show from YTV, Big Wolf on Campus on that station

I don't think I have ever seen Big Wolf on Campus. I might have to try and check it out sometime if I can ever find it.

well I'm not guaranteeing you'll like it cause I don't know what kind of shows you like, I just know that the kid in me used to love the shows YTV would play, and those were 2 of the shows (though Are You Afraid of the Dark actually didn't air on YTV)

I knew Are You Afraid of the Dark was a Canadian show and at the end credits it had the YTV logo on it however back then I wasn't aware that YTV was an actual network in Canada.

oh yah YTV is a major network for kids and somewhat older audiences because they play good movies and don't necessarily cut alot out of the movie, they allow the words bullshit and shit to be said, which is leading the station to be not as for kids as it used to be

Didn't Elisha Cuthbert start out on this show? Or was that another famous actress?

well according to that link there were 2 different Are You Afraid of the Dark's, one from 97-99 and one from 99-00, it says she was on the 97-99 3 times and the 99-00 4 times, but I've come to notice that IMDb isn't the best palce for information on Canadian shows

for example, the show Popular Mechanics for Kids, it says that Tyler, one of the main characters, was on 1 episode

You guys aren't talking about Are you Afraid of the Dark that used to come on Nickelodeon are you? The show where they tell ghost stories around a fire. The group was called the "Midnight Society" if I'm not badly mistaken.

For a show that was so creepy, it didn't really scare me. It was an ill show though. I'd have to say that "Crimson the Clown" and the episode where the kid wants his jacket were the best.

"I'm...cold.":scared:

I'd like to retract this statement. This show made me poop sometimes.

I've been watching these a lot and I think my favorite out of the ones I have seen has to be The Tale of the Shiny Red Bicycle.

the Shiny Red Bicycle was a great one, and I liked, though it wasn't scary, the one where a kid makes a model of a town and the little telephone was ringing and he touched it and next thing he knew he was shrunk into the town...it went something like that, I remember a freaky pig face, lol and the little people of the town went against the girl because of some lemonade mis-hap, my memory is bad, lol

This show was just awesome beyond belief.

Even though I was exposed to some real fucked up movies when i was young...almost none of them hold a candle to this fucking Nick at Nite TV series.

Loved this show. Probably in my top five favorite shows ever as a kid. Wish they'd release it on DVD here in the States. The Canadian DVDs are hella expensive.

I loved this show when I was a kid. I was a huge fan of SNICK in the early years. Some episodes were genuinely creepy while others would staright up give you nightmares. My favorite ones are:

The Tale of the Super Specks
The tale of the Nightly Neighbors
The Tale of the Midnight Madness
The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner

Wow, I never realized how many of the story titles contained alliteration.

I loved this show, along with Goosebumps. Man, I've been into horror for a long time.

Big Wolf on Campus on that station

Loved that one too, can't believe someone else remembers it.

"Doctor Fink?" "Vink! With a Vuh, Vuh, Vuh!....and I am NOT a nutbag!"

I loved this show! It used to scare the shit out of me, especially that damn clown in the Laughing in the dark episode.

My favorite episodes have to be the Tale of the dangerous soup and the Tale of the mystical mirror.

Some of the best episodes weren't really scary but golly were they sad! Like the one where that girl's brother was killed in a car accident and she knows he's dead but he doesn't and he's still hanging around. Makes me cry every time.
