Anybody else watching this? Bruce Campbell is awesome in it. Good to pass the summer with.

I'm enjoying this show also. Mostly because it is summer and there is nothing else on. and, yes, Bruce is awesome.

I've seen the first episode, and I really enjoyed it on the whole. Of course Bruce stole the show, but I think it's a pretty solid concept with decent writing to boot, so it's good for a summer series (which I usually spend watching Doctor Who and Eureka).

I'm going to watch the next couple of episode on Monday.

Caught 2 episodes this weekend.
A lot better than I thought.
Quirky, with a lot of action.
The narration doesn't even get on my nerves like it usually does in other shows.

Definitely a DVR show.

I'm irritated. Fiona changing her accent in episode 2 is really disappointing. :( I liked her Irish accent.

I liked this weeks episode, Bruce was funny in his few minutes of screen time.

I'm really enjoying the chemistry between Michael and his brother. I'm wondering who is taking over watching Michael since the FBI is out now.

Fiona is awesome, if I could make the things she can make from things from Home Depot and the grocery store, I'd be set for life.

Sam(Bruce) is making me laugh a lot just about every time he's on the screen.

Apparently, USA has ordered a second season of 13 episodes for next summer.

Yikes, Michael almost got killed in his kitchen,
and has anybody noticed there seems to be somebody eating yogurt or being offered yogurt each week.

There does seem to be a yogurt agenda on the show.

Bruce Campbell mentioned in a recent interview that the second season starts filming in January of '08, so I suppose we'll be seeing season 2 in the summer of '08. It's a great summer time show, and it's intelligently written to boot.

I'm still gutted that Fiona is using that fake American accent. :meh:

The show has officially been picked up for a second season! This makes me greatly happy considering all the new shows I've started watching in the last two years or so have been axed half way through the first season. I've always liked Jeffrey Donovan, and of course, there's Bruce Campbell.

Good episode this week, I was waiting for Lucy Lawless to stop playing soft and kick some ass.
and
Sam mentioned Yogurt.

Next week is the first-season two-hour finale,
"Loose Ends"
Sam is held hostage by heroin smugglers who also happen to be former Special Forces operatives. Michael must use his underworld connections to rescue his friend as he tries to dodge agents out to get him.

Great season finale. Nice to see Bruce get some more screen time.

Looks like the people who have big plans for Michael want him to become the Knight Rider. No wonder he doesn't need the Charger he will be getting K.I.T.T. All makes sense. ;)

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking when I saw that trailer with the ramp down. Hey, his first name is Michael, just change the last name to Knight, and we're all set!

Awesome season finale.
Bruce did get some good screen time as Sam had a lot to do in the first hour and his interrogation scenes in the second hour were great.
I was happy that Michael's brother (Nate) finally stepped up and helped without getting in the way, and good to see Barry (the Money Launderer) again.
The end of hour one was awesome with Sam And Fiona's job going bad, leading to Sam being captured and Fiona barely escaping, while in a different part of Miami Michael is meeting the man that burned him, Phillip Cowan.

Cowan, "The people I work for, they have plans for you."
Michael, "The people you work for?"
Cowan, "Powerful dangerous people, and man are they upset with me. I misread you, Michael. I didn't expect you to buck quite so much. Your making everyone nervous." BLAM Cowan gets shot dead by a sniper.

The look on Michaels face as he calls his brother for help was priceless, like he could barely keep it together.
The ended of the Finale really leaves next season open, they could go anywhere from here.

I'm also wondering if Sam's girlfriend, Veronica, is going to be important as she gets mentioned a couple times per episode.

Freaking LOVE this show!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate having to wait until next summer to see what happens to Michael. Sam is pretty cool...but Fiona kinda gets on my nerves sometimes.

What's with all the yogurt? Can't they have an episode where everyone eats cookies or something?

Have seen that mentioned a couple of times that she might be the one on the phone. That would be a nice twist.

So with 20% off at Deep Discount...would Season 1 be a safe blind buy? Most here seem to like it, and I'm a huge Miami Vice/Magnum P.I./A-Team/McGyver fan (all of which, i've heard this show being compared to). What do you guys think?

It is a wonderful show. Great humor with the right balance of character development and action. Very fun and enjoyable! Wes, I'd highly recommend watching the show. Season two premieres July 10th on the USA Network. They are also running a marathon of season one later this week.

I love Burn Notice, and these sorts of secret agent shows aren't usually up my alley. The dry humor and action work well together, and Bruce is great in it. I'd say get it for sure.

I missed the season 1 finale, so I picked up the DVD so I could catch up in time for season 2.

I was incorrect. The second half of season two begins on Thursday, January 22nd. The entire day, they have a marathon leading up to the premiere. So, you should be able to catch the first eight episodes or so of season two that day.

Kind of old but:

USA feels 'Burn,' 'Pains' (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3ide843f7bf07c511fa3200e4b2bc19912)

The summer's hottest cable series will be back.

USA Network has renewed its flagship action drama "Burn Notice" and breakout freshman hit "Royal Pains." Both series have been picked up for 16 more episodes.

The pickups come amid another sizzling summer for the basic cable network, which is wrapping up July as cable's most-watched network after finishing first during the second-quarter ratings race.

The Thursday combo of "Burn" and "Pains" has been the main driver of USA's ratings surge, with all fresh episodes of the series landing in the top 20 programs on ad-supported cable for the month.

On July 9, the original runs of the Fox TV Studios-produced "Burn" and Universal Cable Prods.' "Pains" drew 7.1 million and 7.3 million viewers, respectively.

"Burn," starring Jeffrey Donovan, is being picked up for a fourth season. The show it helped launch, the Mark Feuerstein-starring medical soap "Pains," is being renewed for a second turn.

Three seasons down, at least three more to go (http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/burn-notice-season-five-season-six-14272/).

Michael Westen may have gotten burned in the spy business, but in the TV business, he’s doing just fine. Burn Notice, the USA series that centers around his character, is doing so well that it’s been picked up for both its fifth and sixth seasons, before the fourth even begins airing.

Jeffrey Donovan stars as Westen, a spy who had been tagged as unreliable or dangerous and is now back in his hometown of Miami. Without access to his cash or previous influences, he’s not able to leave. He works with his ex, a weapons expert, and an old acquaintance who works as a double agent to help figure out how to get him out of this mess. This all puts him back in touch with his mother on a regular basis. Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Sharon Gless also star, and Coby Bell has signed on for season four.

USA’s president of original programming Jeff Wachtel jokingly told Variety, “Once Saturday Night Live makes fun of you, how can you not commit to extra seasons?” SNL poked fun with a skit having game show contestants being quizzed about their knowledge of Burn Notice.

More importantly, the series has remained a popular part of the cable channel’s original programming. Including the live-plus seven data, Burn Notice averaged 7.1 million viewers last season and 3.3 million of those were in the 18-49 demo.

Wachtel believes the series was set up for success when, during the development process, it was decided to move filming of the series from Newark, New Jersey to Miami to make it brighter and sunnier.

With season four of Burn Notice set to debut on USA on June 3rd, seasons five and six are expected to air over the next couple summers. As of now, season five will be made up of a minimum of 15 installments and season six will have at least 18.

In addition, USA has also acquired the off-cable rights to the series. They’ll begin showing repeats daily starting in October 2011. Additionally, MyNetworkTV will begin showing back to back repeats on Wednesdays this fall.

Sam Axe prequel is a go (http://www.deadline.com/2010/11/usas-burn-notice-prequel-starring-bruce-campbell-is-a-go-jeffrey-donovan-to-direct/#more-87350)

USA has given a formal green light to the Burn Notice movie prequel starring Bruce Campbell, which will be directed by Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan. The two will also executive produce with Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, who wrote the movie, and the series exec producer Mikkel Bondesen.

The untitled two-hour film, which was announced at this year's Comic-Con, will begin shooting in January on location in Bogota, Columbia for a premiere in Spring 2011. Burn Notice has wrapped production on Season 4, and filming on Season 5 is slated to begin shortly after the movie finishes shooting.

Here are more details about the Fox TV Studios-produced prequel. It is set in late 2005 and focuses on Sam Axe's (Campbell) last mission as a Navy SEAL. It begins after a faction of Colombian rebels makes trouble for the locally stationed military platoon, with Lieutenant Commander Axe being sent down to investigate. As the mission unfolds, Sam begins to uncover the dark secrets of the area, learning the truth about sacrifice, deception, and ultimately what’s worth fighting for.

The idea to do a Campbell-centered Burn Notice movie offshoot originated a year and a half ago when Burn Notice made its Comic-Con debut. "We saw Bruce Campbell as the Bruce Springsteen of Comic Con," USA's president of original programming Jeff Wachtel said. "We saw the spectacular explosive fan reaction and realized that, in Bruce, we had not only a great actor but also a pop culture icon." USA executives decided to take advantage of that, and Nix quickly came up with the basic outline for a movie about Axe's back story that had not been explored on the series. The idea was put on the back burner while Nix was busy with Burn Notice and The Good Guys until Wachtel made the surprising informal announcement at Comic-Con in July. Donovan got the directing gig on the movie after impressing USA executives with his directorial debut on the Made Man episode of Burn Notice, which aired this summer.

Could the Burn Notice film spawn a series of a movies or a spinoff series starring Campbell? "It is a one-off," Wachtel said. "We’ll see how it goes."

Another hellacool episode tonight by the way. But I have a question for those here with their ear down on the ground about all things Hollywood, or more specifically this show. As viewers who checked out the summer finale episode know, Micheal was shot in the shoulder by Jesse in order to get him out of a hostage situation. Since then Mr. Weston has been taking it easy on the acton scenes. My mom was watching the show with me this evening, and she was wondering did Jeffery Donavan actually sustain some kind of shoulder injury ? Either recreational, or stunt gone ca-ca on the set. So thats why Weston's shoulder injury is being played up a wee bit this part of the season ? Or are they trying to keep it a little more real ?

I only saw the thirty second ad this morning. So I'm about as top of this as you are. I was figuring the Sam Axe story was going to hit a little closer to the season premier of the show myself. But this is nice too. Although its on the same time as Axe Men, or as I call it, "Lumberjacks with PMS.' My dad's a bit of a fan of the show, and he doesn't like watching it alone.
