Doctor Who... on the PC, PS2, DS and Mobile phone?

From David-Tennant.com (http://www.david-tennant.com/):

Top Trumps have revealed their plans for a Doctor Who video game to be released in time for Christmas 2007. It is thought it will be available on PC, PS2, DS and Mobile. An advert for the game appears in the new Doctor Who Top Trumps card pack. We will have more details as we get them.

Please god, don't let this game suck. Please don't let it be some lame card battle game. Please let us get it in region 1 in time for Christmas.

On the unfortunate suck side, I'm hearing it's just going to be a digital version of the Top Trumps card game. :meh:

I've waited a long time since the fuzzy memory that is Destiny of the Doctors for a proper Doctor Who game... and Top Trump dashes those hopes and dreams with what appears to be the Doctor Who equivalent of Sneak King -- a walking, talking advert for a different product.

I still say the greatest Doctor Who game ever (courtsey of writer, David McIntee) is a FPS... who are you? The Doctor? Captain Jack Harkness? Random UNIT Fodder #3? Nope. A DALEK. :D THAT would rock. :D

The best Doctor Who game, for my money, was Dalek Attack! (http://www.doctorwho-games.com/dalekattack-game.htm) for DOS. It was a bit of a pain to make work on Windows 98, but it was solid platforming action, and you could play the Second Doctor, the Fourth Doctor, the Seventh Doctor, Ace and the Brigadier.

Eidos quiet on Dr. Who (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=80685)

UK developer Ironstone Partners has confirmed it is working on a Dr. Who game for DS, PS2 and PC.

It was originally unveiled on the back of a pack of Top Trumps cards, and will apparently be based on the deck inspired by the popular science-fiction television series.

Unfortunately publisher Eidos was sticking to no comment, but we expect more information to crop-up soon.

Dr. Who looks likely to be aimed at a casual audience, probably those with a giant telephone box or a whisker and toilet-plunger for arms.

I've got a feeling we won't be seeing this game in region 1.
