Am I the only one who forsee's themselves actually liking Jason's Sack look more in the reboot as opposed to the Hockey Mask look??? From what I have seen thus far from the quick glimpse in the teaser as well as Mezco's Cinema of Fear figure, I am really digging the sack appearence. I am not saying that I dislike the hockey mask look in the reboot, but I feel that it may just suit Jason better in this particular film. That's just me though, share your thoughts...

I think your the only one mate, by the look of how many views this topic has and no one's replied I guess theres your answer, and no I prefer the hockey mask it defines jason, also I must say the hockey mask looks fucked up on the figure, looks different to the other ones

I prefer the hockey mask overall ofcourse...it is an institution and it defines Jason. I was just curious if there was anybody out there that thinks that maybe his sack appearance would look better in this reboot. Just wonderin' though...

He decided to block out his entire head from the rest of the planet, except for his sinister stare. He just seemed more real to me in the second movie. I don't know, I suppose I'm just weird. :D

I like the sack better than the hockey mask also imo it makes Jason that much more scarier.

THe sack look is way more bad ass and scary looking than the hockey mask. It really gives him a more rugged and realistic look. The hockey mask looks good too but i think i might also be one of the few that actually prefer the sack look a little better in this one. Maybe just because it hides that hair....

I can't comment on the sack from the remake since I haven't seen it in action yet... and I'm not going to judge about it from a vague screenshot or actionfigure.

I hope we don't see much of the hock/sack in the remake. Just quick shots to make it scarier.

I'm open to the sack, I reserve judgement until the film is released and I can see it fully. However I doubt it will reach the iconic status the hockey mask has in one film; so that'll always be my preference.

I agree with the fact that I should reserve my judgment until the film is released and we can see both the sack/hock in action. All I am saying is that from what I have seen thus far, the sack appearence looks more promising. And not for anything, if anybody has seen the cover of the new Fangoria featuring Jason's face on the cover...it only continues to prove my theory that the hock may be inferior to the sack look in this installment. I guess I'll have to wait until Feb. 13th to really pass judgment though...

While I agree the sack is creepier, the mask is cooler and makes more sense for him to have. I do think the sack works for Part 2 though, and it also works early on for the new movie.

In case you didnt read the three posts before yours, we were discussing the possibility of Jason wearing the sack under the mask immediately after acquiring said mask and then ditching the sack later on (all this based on mepersoner's observations)...

Since it is obvious that Jason does not wear the sack under the mask for the entire film, we were just speculating that maybe he did so for a short period of time and it was just a slip up on mepersoner's recollection of the film.

It is just like the old Paramount series. The sack looks scarier and more mysterious and the mask looks more badass. They show a scene where Jason is walking through the woods and you see the back of him with the mask straps around the back of his head with the machette in hand. He looks total badass stomping right in front of the camera. It is on the new trailer. It was the new trailer that basically totally sold me the film. This film is going to be wall to wall badassness. It is going to be what I hoped for...Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter on major steriods.

It doesn't look like it based on the pictures we got. It looks like he'll be wearing the same clothes throughout the entire film and only the mask will change from bag to hock.

I prefer the hockey mask look of this one, though it's a hard choice for me because of how much I loved the look of the sack in this movie. I really liked the hockey mask look a lot because of the very well done make-up job on his head, and because of the strands of hair and also because of the overall design of the hockey mask this time around. Though, the sack was really well done. They were able to create a new look for it while making it familiar to part two, in a way. I just love that they decided to include the sack in the reboot, and they showed enough of it without showing either too little or too much of it, so I was highly happy with both looks.

In Friday 2 (1981) it looked like a bag. In Friday 2009 it looked like a rag wrapped all around his face kind of like The Invisible Man.

The 2009 movie definitely has the better idea for the sack, though I still love both. The original looks more like a potato sack, which I believe was inspired by the Elephant Man.

I was kinda glad to see the sack back for a bit. Jason wouldn't be Jason without his hokey mask anymore, but that sack was actually pretty cool. I think it was a good idea to reuse it at first.
