just because he wasmore efficient as an ambush killer. He seemed to really weigh his options more, plan better and be more effective.

I'm going to have to go with Part 3 as well. He didn't fall for any stupid gimmicks (i.e. - Ginny being his mother/Tommy being him as a child), and he was just sniper as fuck. He was roaming around for mad long, even in the daylight just wandering in and out of the barn like Higgen's Haven was Voorhees' Vacation Destination.

In Part 6 he falls for a chain around the neck, and the rest of the series he just seems pretty dumb. Whether or not that because I think they are dumb films is yet to be determined.

I voted for Part 3 as well, he seemed to be a bit more strategic and careful in that film. In TFC he seemed to let his anger and frustration get the better of him, and in JL he seemed more confident and he became overconfident to the point where he left room for error. In Part 2 he was just learning the ropes, but he seemed fairly smart in that film, too.

Jason Goes To Hell, for sure.

In the opening, he knew there was something up in those woods, and although he let his determination to kill get the better of him in the end of that scene, he still found a way around being blown to bits.

He accomplished the goal of being reborn, and although he was put down just a short time later he still accomplished the goal in a rather smart and unconventional (And gross, f course) way.

I would give it to The Final Chapter Jason. He cut the phone line, cut the lights/power, hung bodies in the way of doorways, stayed in the background and picked his moves carefully. He was a true prowler/hunter.

It is a shame that the 2009 Jason isn't on this poll, because THAT was the most intelligent Jason.

The thing about Jason is that he was never as stupid as some people make him out to be. He always did things like cut phone lines and lights to iscolate and dis-vision his prey. He even punched the fire alarm in JTM.

I think he was kind of dumb-headed in Part 6, X and FvJ. Expecially FvJ. He even looked the part.

Agreed...there are entries where he's far more creative but in the reboot/whatever he showed considerable organization and planning.

We all know that Robert Cummings would totally reinvent Jason into this sympathetic & deep character by delving further into his childhood & being picked on by a bully more menacing than Thomas F. Wilson.

Just by design of the script JGTH Jason is easily the smartest.. all plotting and shit.. but i have to admit he is very 'un' Jason at times.

As far as the guy running around offing teens in the tradtional way.. I would say part 3
