Battle of the Johns: Rambo vs Commando

God, how I missed the polls, list and games forum!

I wanted to post this poll just before the Friday forum imploded . . .anyway, here it goes:

If John Rambo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rambo) and John Matrix (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commando_%28film%29) were both dropped on a deserted jungle island without weapons, but with orders to hunt down and kill the other, which one would succeed?

That sure is a tough question. I would have to go with a tie though. I think Rambo's style will keep him alive, but Matrix's style will earn him points as well.

I said Matrix. As much as I liked First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II, I'm a bigger Commando fan. Then again, I don't think that John Rambo would have a need to kidnap Jenny Matrix, would he? In the unlikely event that Bennett would return, I dont think that he's the kind of guy that Rambo would work with, considering that he was more annoying than Brian Dennehy.

I voted for A-nold over Sly in the Tough old guy thread, but I think I am gonig to vote for the character Rambo over Matrix. . .he seems more. . .I don't know. . .creative/inventive.

I vote John Matrix, though I think that they'd wind up killing each other at the same time.

Matrix. Commando was basically a documentary of his rampage where he killed tons of people.

I doubt they'd fight though since they're both good guys. Rambo is definitely a bad ass & more stealthy than Matrix. Matrix is more gung ho with guns blazing.

I'd say First Blood was the better film and I think thats why I voted Rambo (completely forgot about this thread).

That being said, I like Matrix better. Alyssa Milano is the luckiest woman on the planet.

I love both Commando and the Rambo series, but I think Rambo would own Matrix in a fight. Rambo is just too hardened and resourceful to go down.
