I thought I'd make a thread for movies which for now are just rumored with no actual real plans set in motion

First off

Knight Rider The (new) Movie
Fake Poster

Of course The Hoff has been rabbiting on about this for the best part of at least 6 years but I'm sure I heard a rumor as far back as 10 years ago and every time he mentions it he claims the script is ready filming begins soon only think what shocked me about this report is I'm sure I read The Hoff bought the rights himself so he could be in control if KR future.

What I read The Hoff would reprise the role of Micheal of course and be the driver and main guy but in the end hand the keys over to someone new and for the series which would follow he would take over the Devon role

I think it could very well get made one day but don't think it will be any time soon

Pee-wee's Playhouse: The Movie

Pee-wee's Playhouse: The Movie is a forthcoming film by Paul Reubens.

Reubens' third scripted movie, written at the same time as his adult-oriented Pee-Wee script, was greenlighted in late Summer 2006. He first announced he had finished the script on the Late Show with David Letterman. Filming is supposed to start in early 2007.

The title is unlike the plot because it involves Pee-Wee outside of the Playhouse and in the real world.

Plot

Reubens said the story would be about all of the characters from the television show finally leaving the playhouse and venturing off into Puppetland and beyond (the playhouse characters had never left the playhouse in the TV series, though various locations like Miss Yvonne's house were shown). The characters from the playhouse will be on an epic adventure to look for a missing character from the playhouse. Reubens stated this will be a road movie similar to Pee-wee's Big Adventure.

I'm not sure how that would go now now Pee wee isn't exactly popular since the pedo rumors.

Also from what I've read his has been talking about how it is ready to go for the last 10 years.

Mummy 3

Al Gough, who is co-writing the third installment in the Mummy film franchise with partner Miles Millar, told SCI FI Wire that the sequel will unwrap a new mummy and feature a character who is the grown son of Rick and Evie (played in the previous films by Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz). It's aiming to shoot this summer under director Rob Cohen (Stealth) for a 2008 release.

Gough and Millar, who also created The CW's Smallville, said the sequel will also have a new concept. "Stephen Sommers [who wrote and directed the previous two films] and his partner, Bob Ducsay, ... approached us and said, 'Steve doesn't want to write the third movie. Would you guys be interested?'" Gough said in an interview. "And we were like, 'Well, it's a third.' But then they had a concept for it that we really liked. They had an idea for the movie, which is something we always wanted to do. So we're like, 'Well, if we don't do it, they're going to do it in this movie.'"

Gough said that he and Millar added their own ideas to the script, including a storyline centering on the main characters of Rick and Evie. "We figured out a really good family story with Rick and Evie, and [their son] Alex is now grown up. So it's really interesting." Alex was played as a young boy in 2001's The Mummy Returns by Freddie Boath.

As for whether Fraser and Weisz will reprise their roles in the film, Gough said that he was confident the script is good enough to persuade them to return. "They're in negotiations," he said. "So the plan is to bring them back. I think it'll end up being Brendan and Rachel, ultimately. They're the core of the movie. That's why people love the Mummy movies. And then it's taking that and then expanding it and introducing [a] new character and a new mummy. So we're really excited to get going. We met with Rob Cohen today, and he's really jazzed to do it. So fingers crossed, God willing, we'll be shooting this summer and it'll be out in the summer of '08." —Cindy White

SK, The Mummy 3 is a definite go at this point. It's coming out next July 11th.
Weisz's character is coming back, but it's going to be re-cast.

Well if there ever is a new Knight Rider movie, they better use the new FireBird.....not whatever that car in the fake poster is....which is ugly IMO.

A Knight Rider movie can be fun if done right. I still remember watching the show on TV and I loved it.

The two names I've heard rumored to play Michael Knight were Orlando Bloom and Paul Walker. I'd pick Bloom over Walker.

To be honest, I really can't picture either one of them in this role.

The main rumor I know about The New Knight rider is The Hoff will be back playing Micheal and then at the end hand K.I.T.T over to a new driver

The plan was/is if the movie does well enough then a New Knight Rider series will be made with Micheal taking over as the head of FLAG and giving out the missions.

That would be interesting, I'm a big fan of the old show having all four season's on DVD. A new series might do well if done right.

If they are going to make this movie, they need to have William Daniels do the voice of KITT.

Also, I hear they are going to make another Ace Ventura movie. It will revolve around Ace's son...If they make this, it's going to suck if they don't have Jim Carrey though.

From what I hear William Daniels will be back.

BTW I swear I was going to post the Ace Ventura Jr news today but just hadn't got around to it yet.

Jim Carrey may (just may) make a small cameo appearance in it

I'll totally go see another Ace Ventura movie. If Jim Carey does do a cameo, that'd be sweet. I feel movie sequels that are a long time in the making are guaranteed to be good if an original cast member signs on to do something in it.

I can do even better than that - I used to talk into my watch and then run to my KITT big-wheel, whilst wearing my black leather jacket.

Prove it, says you?
