Well according to Box Office Mojo it's out Feb 13th in the U.K. as well

Hope that's true as I hate trying to avoid spoilers on here. I lack the will power to resist highlighting those grey boxes

I don't really care about seeing it I may catch it on Sky when it comes on but I doubt I'll go the the cinema or get it on DVD

FvsJ I was really excited about though even then the furthest I would of gone is the local cinema (it's only own the road from me I pass it every day when I go into town)

It's about 20 minutes to the local cinema from here. I don't get out to see movies that often, bu 2009 is starting to look like a busy movie-going year for me -- Friday the 13th, Watchmen, Dragonball... that's more than I usually see at the cinema in a year.

Only ones I care about is any comic book/Superhero movie Transformers 2 Saw 6 and Final Destination 4

They may be one or 2 more but that's about it.

I don't care if it was an hour drive......if it's a Friday the 13th movie.....especially one that is a remake consisting of the first 3 or 4 films......I am going. Period. End of story.

But as it is, I have access to 2 different theatres in my area, in the same city, with only about a 20-25 minute drive. I am going. I am on a Friday the 13th forum site after all.

Gotta add Transformers 2 and Final Destination 4 3D to the list. And Evil Dead: The Musical 3D, assuming it's out before the end of the year.

:misery: I hate getting out to the cinema, but these are all movies I want to see on the big screen.

Me to but that has a lot to do with my agoraphobia

I was always sort of shy about going out in public, but I didn't really start to become agoraphobic until I got hurt. I spend so much time in doors that when I do go out, I feel uneasy. I don't like being around people because of my hunch an limp, I feel like they're staring at me. I hate feeling that way.

It'll be good to get upwardly mobile again, that way I can get back to just being a bit naturally shy. :D

I more feel like they are going to start shouting or hit me.

When I go to the cinema I always sit on the front row as I don't have to see other people and if I get into the movie I can block out the fact they are there
Plus I get to move my legs more

Jason X had zero promotion.... FvsJ had radio promotion, posters and perhaps a tiny teaser on tv(not sure about this, but I've heard).
This will have some promotion in Holland, last time I tried to contact the distribution company of Jason X. And they send me like 20 small and 10 big JX posters.

Decided to check this out and it looks like 26th Feb in Australia.

Pity they couldn't organise to release it on the proper date. Looks like I'll need to stay away from the interwebs for a week or so.

I agree...it could be a days drive, I'd fill the tank up, and get her rolling to see a brand new fresh Jason flick.

But Im glad the theater is like a 3 minute drive from me. They serve food and alcohol too, they give you these poles and the numbers at the top glow in the dark and they bring it right to your seat. Im catching the 12:01 am show that thursday night. Im gonna smoke the worlds biggest blunt before going in and order a burger and fries, and drink mad beer in there and cheer Jason on.

its gonna be good times, I may end up doing it the next night as well.
ADDED:
I more feel like they are going to start shouting or hit me.

Hmm...thats a little overly paranoid.

I see where you're coming from, but I dont let it preoccupy my mind when I go out in public. so I wont say Im too much like that, but Im definitely always on point, because I wouldnt want to go to jail for killing someone who decided to do this to me:

Man, they'd better start promoting this film soon because its only a little over a month away and I aint seen s__t on the TV for it yet. Hype for FvJ was Everywhere for months leading to that flick. I have not seen commercial one yet.

Eh, if I recall correctly, I saw my first TV spot for FvJ towards the end of July. I think Fuller and Form have both said that TV spots will be coming in full force soon. I would expect to see them a lot especially after MBV 3D has been released, though.

There WAS NOT months of FVJ TV promotion in the states. I remember it like it was yesterday. The FVJ TV spot first aired during the series opener for Reno 911! That's July 23rd for those of you at home. So, a little over 3 weeks for FVJ.

I'm hoping they'll advertise during the NFC and AFC (american football) Championship games and during shows like WWE Raw and SmackDown.

I am in Iraq so dont get to see TV. My only option will be to download it or buy it from the local 'Ali's movie shop'. They sell all the latest boot legs for like $2 each. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be there on opening night contributing to the box office, but I dont have that option. And no way I am waiting 8 months to see it!

Paramount released a box set here in Brazil with parts 2 - 6 (the new edition of part 2 with extras and part 3 in 3D with the glasses).

There's also a version that comes with a mask. Very cool, especially considering we don't get things like that here.

Oh, that would be a lot of perks you'd be missing...not just some, Di.

They also released parts 2 and 3 (3D) both SE's out of the box set.

Here's a pic of the hock that comes with the box set.

It will be released this Thursday in Germany as well. So far I had zero luck in finding a cinema in my area that actually screens it. I´Il guess I have to accept an hour drive to get to a cinema that has a screrening of it (or wait until a screen around here shows it).

Well, I just found a multiplex in a city 60 km away from me that shows it at 20:00 (and 23:30 at the weekend). But it seems that it doesn´t have a big release. Freddy vs Jason and other hiorror movies (except Saw) did not get wide releases over here as well.
It´s distributed by Paramount over here.
