Halloween takes place in Illinois, and I'm from Iowa. It snows occasionally on Halloween. I remember it came down hard one time.

So this scene would be possible, and kick ass!

BTW: I posted this idea in the NOES continuity thread, as it would be cool to see Freddy out in the snow, too.

Well we've seen rain in Halloween so i guess it wouldn't be far fetched to do a snow scene.

I guess a snow scene in Halloween wouldn't make seance but a snow scene in Friday the 13th would since the camp is surrounded by woods.

yeah..the only problem is that they always play it as a summer camp, but maybe that would be an interesting take on things..hmmm:confused:

Make it a winter camp or winter getaway and see how Jason adapts to the cold.

we all know jason suffers from shrinkage when he gets out of the pool.

I don't think it would make to much of a difference. It might be easier to see where Jason is since the leaves are usually gone and you would see the footprints but those are the only things I can see right now that would be different.

I think the problem is if they use legitimate snow, or frozen matter, you have a bunch of miserable actors on a generally low budget film. Add on to the fact they could get sick, you have that to consider. CGI snow might get costly, and again, it's a low budget movie and finding actors for such a film that can act cold and scared would be a chore.

Films like Cliffhanger and Die Hard 2 were full of snowy, freezing scenes, but when you consider what they were probably paid for that, it makes sense.

So I think from a technical aspect, a snowy horror movie might be a dream only.

Yeah but in Jason X look at the cost of the CGI technology so I think the fake snow wouldn't be that much to do.

Yeah but my thing is, what cost is fake snow, and the upkeep of it to look consistent and stuff versus the real deal?

I mean I don't know these things. In south louisiana when we think snow, we think the cotton stuff they lay down in the santa clause display during christmas time in the mall.

Where's Scott Goldberg when you need him and his low budget insight.

I wanna see Jason shoveling snow and then having a heart attack out in his front yard..
