Pick your least favorite beginning to a Friday the 13th. I picked part 3 it just seemed like it got off to a slower start than others imo.

I'm going with Part 3 as well. I love the film as a whole, but the opening is simply a recap of the end of Part 2. I loved the opening titles though.

I liked all the beginnings, but I guess I choose the Part 8 beginning.

People will kill me for this, but Part VI. I'm just not a huge fan of the movie.

I would choose JX, but it was better than VI... I loved all the rest. The beginning of JGTH was great and very "Friday esque" same with JTM.

Part 8 I thought was pretty lame I thought.

BTW I edited your poll so it was more sensible.

The beginning of JTM like the credits? Or the 2 teens on the boat? I loved the boat scene.

I'm thinking the boat scene. While the credits were pretty bad, I'd say that boat scene was the best in the film. It was GREAT!

Now, worst opening?
Well, Part V's was cheesy, but not bad.....
Part IX rocked.
Part X was not nearly as bad as the rest of the film, but not good.
I'll go with Part VI. I do not see ANY atmosphere in that stupid scene whatsoever! There's nothing creepy, cool, or fun about the graveyard. All I see is a dumb attempt. Sorry for being harsh, I just can't stand it. Why did they...uh. Like I said, no atmosphere!

I voted Part 7... not the flashback, but the first scene with little Tina. The acting in that is so bad... the silly thing is, they did a flashback to this scene only 5 min. later in the movie.

Well, I didn't like the beginnings of parts 2 and 3 just because I don't need to re-watch the last 15 minutes of the previous film. But, I chose part 6 as my lest favorite beginning because I thought the way Jason came back to life was totally bogus.

JTM. I mean, seriously. You've got a radio DJ talking about NYC, just as "Darkest Side Of Night" plays. You see all the places where the film takes place and then you have the first scene. And when it comes to the scene itself, it lacks an depth. We get a recap of Jason's history, but with new material and nothing from the previous seven films. What the fuck? :duh:

JX...
It was cheesy in the beginning.
And "Afro" Jason did not help it any.

I voted for part 3. I'm not a big fan of recaps.

I picked part 2...those credits were like 10 minutes long...

Hmm, A nude beginning opened with very crappy music that made me think "What the hell am I watching". but 2JAson takes a boat to Manhattan"īs opening just takes the cake in this one. The voice-over by the DJ sounds cheesy. The Vancouver ... errr, I mean New York clips look cheap. It just give you an idea of the rest of the movie.

"Freddy vs. Jason"

I would have liked to have seen clips from the first 8 "Friday's" (I know they didn't have the rights, but still) to go along with the clips from the "Nightmare's." Also, Betsy Palmer should have played Mrs. Voorhees again.

I said Jason X. I really just hate the film in general, but Jason's look is so fucking shitty, the weird neuro-synapse titles were ok, but the score is so lackluster, plus they had to kill David Cronenberg. That just chapped my ass, right there. If only the mutated Seth Brundle had been there to vomit on Jason.

My least favorite is Jason Takes Manhattan, but it looks like I already voted for Part 3...which I don't hate.

The beginning of Jason X bored the shit out of me.

FvsJ started by laying out the entire plot in our lap. And then it would be reiterated several times through out the movie. Do they think we're dolts???

I like that song and the shots of the city, but there's something really weak about everything else in the opening of Part VIII.

Part 8. The life in the series felt quite drained by that point in the franchise. I could honestly see why it went into dormancy for the next five years. Its the only one that produces a flatline reaction from me.

i'm going based off of say the first 10 minutes of each movie.
you cant vote for part 1 because it was the start of it all.
2 was a solid, even if a little long.
3 starts off with the end of part 2 which is one of the better endings so its cool.
4. gotta love the montage.
5 brings back feldman. not a bad start.
6 was ok.
7. montage part 2.
8 i don't hate. i actually kind of like the song.
9 was a good start.
X, ugh. X was just an awful movie so it gets my vote.
Freddy vs. Jason had a decent start. Gave the back story to Krueger and pretty muched summed up the whole plot.
Remake. I didnt much care for the opening credits/mrs. voorhees beheading. i didnt like the portrayal of mrs. voorhees to much.
