Angie Albright journeys far from home to attend college in a small mountain town.

While looking for a job babysitting, Angie learns about the recent disappearance of a female college student and the horrific murder of another girl in the next town over.

After a number of unusual occurrences, Angie’s paranoia takes holds as she suspects that someone might be following her.

Angie’s suspicions turn out to be true when she finds herself trapped by her strange assailant while babysitting on a rural farm.

However, things are even darker than they first appear. Angie must fight to survive a night filled with unimaginable horrors.

The trailer can be found here (http://babysitterwantedfilm.com/viewtrailer.html). Unfortunately, the movie doesn't have a release date yet, but I reallyreally want to see this. =x

Hmm, sounds like Texas Chain Saw Massacre meets babysitting.

I thought this was going to be about the Adventures in Babysitting remake. :X

Anyhow, this sounds interesting. I'd love to give it a go.

i heard that it was based on a true story as well

There's never been mass murders in our little towns, although there have been single murders and weird *beep* that happens. Back in the early 1990's a girl in my home town was murdered by her older brother while she was babysitting the younger siblings... which is the only crime in my time that I can think of that sounds even remotely like the plot of this movie

the boy who lives in that town said that this was the only killing that happend. dunno if this movie is based on it though

So I'm too lazy right now to do anything else besides look at the trailer; is this going Direct to DVD? If it's not, I'm not going to go to the movies to see it. I'll wait for the DVD. If it is, it might be worth a rent. I like the premise behind it, and uhhh...hopefully there's some sex with hot chicks.

Another terrible cover art. Why do posters always have to look rusty, and scratched, and soooo saw-like. Grrrr,

Babysitter Wanted Goes Theatrical (http://www.dreadcentral.com/story/babysitter-wanted-goes-theatrical)

Just got a heads up from the folks behind Babysitter Wanted (review (http://www.dreadcentral.com/reviews/babysitter-wanted-2007)), the strange little film Anchor Bay picked up a while back but has done very little with. We found out this is because the film will be hitting theaters on February 6th, 2009!

It will be premiering in select theaters that day, as well as on Dish Network’s Premium PPV, then expanding to even more theaters on February 20th. I have to admit the movie’s just quirky enough to possibly find itself an audience if the right people get out there to check it out. Will you be one?

Keep it here for more updates soon; for now you can read more about it at the official site (http://www.babysitterwantedfilm.com/) or MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/babysitterwantedthemovie)!

i just finished watching this. the first half of it kind of scared the fuck out of me. as scary as a scary movie can be, i was feelin that scared. the music alone was creepin me out. it was awesome.

then all of a sudden, it changes into a different type of horror movie. i won't go into the second half too much. i did love it, but it took me a few minutes to adjust to it because it was such a big change. the awesome music stayed consistant through the whole film too.

10/10

Me too...I could see some people saying it's silly though.

I like the whole movie, but really LOVED the first half

I should smack both of you for recommending this stupid movie. I was all excited and told my girlfriend to rent it. So I watched it with her and her mom. WORSE THAN THE NOTEBOOK!!!

Seriously WTF? I felt like I was having my toe nails removed one at a time while having red hot cacti shoved up my nose. This movie was TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!

I'm never listening to you two again when it comes to movie recommendations

Upon a rewatch, the second half does becomes kind of silly. But I still stand by really loving the first "stalking" half. Reminded me of Halloween alot.

Personally, I would have recomended a hundred movies before this. Your fault Hoody :D

Girlfriend was like "who in the HELL recommended this?" I said "some guys on the forum." Her response, "and you respect their opinion?" I said, "well, apparently not anymore when it comes to movies."

We celebrated it being over. About the only good thing to come of it is I've perfected the little kid's voice and keep looking at her going HUNGRY

This sounds like a cross between When A Stranger Calls, Halloween, and The Strangers.
